VW-VBT380 Lithium-Ion Battery Pack (Black)

***Revised 10.15.14*** Received notice the product was shipping the day after my 1 star review. ??? !!! So far so good. Have used this battery several times since receiving it. It has powered the camcorder for at least 2 sessions lasting over 4.5 hours per session. Previous review: Been waiting several months now for this battery to ship. Latest update is late October, moved from late August.

Four stars may not be fair. This battery shows a lot of time capacity. I like having it so I know I have enough power and won't run out in the midst of a show. The four stars is because of the high price, $130 for a battery because it's the namebrand is too much money.

Getting 4-5 hours of recording time which is fantastic and works perfect for recording multiple sporting events without recharging. Well worth the money for the upgrade over stock battery that comes with the VX981 camcorder.

Have attempted to order and due to extended backorder (aka Amazon does not have it and apparently can't get it either) the order gets pushed out and they need my approval to continue the backorder, but won't use the previously selected payment method (reward points) to complete the order extension approval which leaves me only the option to cancel. Since I'm unable to order the battery, I can't give anything more than 1 star. Since Panasonic deems it necessary to produce equipment that use proprietary batteries and then not produce the batteries in sufficient quantities to actually be available, much less competitive, I must give Panasonic a 1 star review as well. There is no reason for this and this is the best way to basically tell potential customers that they are not worth your time. I've been attempting to get an extended battery for my camcorder for the past 6 months. I can't give feedback since the order got cancelled, so I'm forced to write this review to let others know that they may never see this battery either.Edit: Amazon helped me re-instate the order. We'll see if I happen to actually get it in the next 2 months. This adds one star since Amazon is proving that they have great customer service.

This thing is great. I'd tell you how long this battery lasts, but I have never made it to the end of a day when it died - and we took a ton of video in Sydney, AUS when we visited earlier this year. The battery sticks out the back more than the original, but it's not that much heavier nor does it get in the way. I highly recommend - and it's an approved Panasonic battery so I know it will give my cam the right juice it needs. Absolutely NO complaints here. This thing lasts a LONG time in our Panasonic HC-V750 digital camcorder. Enjoy the up-close photos and specs of this battery.

The camera this fits Panasonic 4K 970, cannot charge this battery. I believe the voltage is different and when the voltage reaches the level of the smaller battery that comes with it, it just quits charging, or the camera is unable to read the voltage. A battery charger per se did not come with the camera, or was left out of the box.

I bought this as the main battery for the Panasonic HC-V550K and I was expecting it to work between 2 to 4 hours but it last much longer. Even with using the zoom function extensively I was able to get approximately 5 hours of use.I am needing a couple more batteries but I will wait as I see that the price has come down since I purchased the battery on April 13th. I hope that the price comes down some more as even at the current price the battery is a bit expensive.

perfect addition for recording a wedding ceremony and reception. was able to record total of 4hrs for our event

Great battery pack that lasts! Much better than the standard battery that came with my pansonic video camera. Highly Recommended!
