quality writing
A very strong continuation of the story, is how I would sum this up. I can’t say there is something entirely new, something that would amaze you.Frankly, I have few things to mention. The strongest point is the evolution of the protagonists, especially Malta and partially Kennit who goes from the least interesting to the most interesting over and over. The story unfolds as you expect it to, nothing spectacular here. I would have loved a little more suspense or plot twists, maybe that’s the weakest part. Still, it holds your interest finely. My issues with this book is that while I was really interested in reading it, I was not as hooked as I would expect. Maybe the large number of protagonists diluting the momentum?Additionally, there is fairly little loss. No one actually dies. Is that good or bad? Well, it’s less emotional. Finally, there is not too much to expect with anticipation - maybe that’s the reason I am not overly hooked. Yes, Althea and Brashen? Maybe yes maybe no. Althea and Vivacia? Not sure how this would end well. Malta wants to save her father, but we are not that keen on forgiving him so..maybe dragons returning? Not so sure that would be really good for the future of our protagonists. Maybe..All this goes along my review of the first book, which I graded 5/5. This book is excellent too and it smells quality so if you read the first one I can’t imagine how you won’t continue with this one or the next!!

Unglaublich

Even more expansive and compelling
Even more expansive and compelling.Mad Ship continues the gripping saga Ship of Magic began. The political intrigue is turned up to 11, and our beloved characters struggle even more while some of the mysteries Hobb has established begin to be hinted at and revealed. The same masterful character work you've come to expect from Robin Hobb continues, even for those you might not necessarily have thought were characters. An absolute must read, as is everything in Realm of the Elderlings.

Great Trilogy. Better than Assassin's Quest.
This is a perfect example of how a fantastic fiction trilogy should be written. Great character development, great female protagonists that are great not because the author degraded the male ones but because they work together and complement each other. Brilliant idea and concept for the story. Perfect pace and take structure.A true gem.
