Good
This is such a deal. $15 for a loaded control plate. And it's made really well too. High quality metal and color. I did have an issue with the first one I received. The volume knob kept falling off and it didn't match the other. I used Amazon's system to have a replacement sent to me, and the replacement had two matching knobs with no issues. So overall, I'm satisfied. Definitely a high quality product through and through. The solder work looks decent too for this price point.

Works as you'd expect
On a 2020 Squier Affinity tele, screw holes slightly too far apart, and you may need to Dremel on your factory pickguard. But that's the be expected, and was not an issue to me at all.I kept the factory controls, swapped them to the matte black control plate with black knobs.

Import wiring is slightly different than standard Tele switches
This control plate works great! I was easily able to hook up two pickups in a Telecaster style with only 4 solder joints. I was a little confused at first because all of the solder points were lined in a row instead of staggered like you normally see but it’s quite easy to understand. There is already solder on the points you need to connect your pickups to. Your neck pickup’s hot wire should be wired to the first solder point which has solder on it (there is also a small wire that connects it to the next joint in line - leave that there). Then your bridge pickup’s hot wire should be connected two connection points down from where you wired your neck pickup. You’ll notice that the solder is on 4 terminals and that they’re split into two groups. Neck pickup connects to the first group and the bridge pickup connects to the second group. Leave the small piece of wire connecting any terminals together already in place and you’ll be good to go.The volume and tone control is already prewired so you don’t have to worry about it. It comes with the hardware to secure it to your guitar too. Be sure to connect the ground wires of your pickups to the pot that already has other ground wires connected to it and you’ll be fine. There is also an additional wire that you can use to ground your bridge if necessary.

Not for MiM Teles
Given its modest asking price, I thought I’d take a chance on this control plate for my son’s MiM Telecaster which was scratched up and needed replacement. In all fairness, I couldn’t get measurements on the stock plate since he has no calipers and lives out of state, which I was soon to visit with the intent of installing it for him while I was there. As it turns out, 34.2mm is too wide to fit into the cavity of this Telecaster, which measures a little less than 32mm. The length of the plate and C-T-C mounting screw distance do however appear to be correct. While its electronics all seem to be of good quality with tight pots and a solid-feeling pick-up switch, we obviously couldn’t solder them in for testing because of the fit issue. One additional side note: The finish on the plate I received isn’t anywhere near as glossy as the product photos, but instead totally flat black in color. This may actually be pleasing to some, but set your expectations accordingly. If you’re expecting a drop-in fit without any need for routing the body, the moral of the story here is to take the seller’s advice and carefully check the EXACT dimensions of your existing plate using quality calipers prior to ordering.

Great Deal For A Prewired Plate
I've done several project builds and the Tele style is my favorite because of it's utter simplicity. They always sound great and parts are widely available. This control plate is just what I needed for my latest build. As the seller stated, the finish is indeed flawless. The finsh on mine is matte black. It comes with a prewired output jack also in black. The only thing you need to do is solder the pickup leads and the bridge ground to it. For the seller to offer it at this price, some corners were cut. The pots are mini pots, although I've never experienced a problem with those in the past. The selector switch is box style, but it should fit most cavities, and the control knobs are plastic push on. If you have a genuine American or even a MIM Tele, you'll want to keep looking, but if you just have a Tele style guitar, you'll likely be happy. It looks great and performs as it should.

Pretty good
I thought this control plate set was pretty good for the price. It fits my Asian tele-style partscaster just fine -- I should not have to modify the width of the control cavity and the screw holes are aligned with those on the guitar. The set comes with knurled knobs, pots, plate, and switch, all prewired. Pots are 250k. The solder joints on mine are clean and not unnecessarily large or globular. The switch has a positive feel to it. Again, these are Asian parts and they fit my Asian-manufactured guitar. I am satisfied. Your mileage may vary. Overall, it’s a fun and inexpensive way to play with the cosmetics of the guitar, but if you’re looking for high quality upgrades or need 500k pots, you’ll need to look elsewhere.
