Do not buy, dangerous!
Do not buy this collar. After a week of my dog wearing it, I noticed that he started to smell of BLEACH! I couldn’t figure it out, then I realized quickly that it was the collar, it wreaked of bleach and harsh chemical smell. Mind you, I don’t use bleach to clean. The collar smells so strong of chemicals! It is offensively strong, and can’t be safe. I feel so bad I bought this color and he wore it so long. Very pretty to look at but clearly made in a dangerous way, very unsafe for your fur baby!

The BEST Leather Dog Collar!
This is the finest leather collar you can presently get. We are dog owners/trainers of 40 years and typically purchase Mendota Products and Leerburg Products. We recently went to purchase a leather collar for our 3 month BC puppy. The Mendota collar was so stiff, we were unable to reasonably buckle it? The holes on the Leerburg Amish collar came too small and thus couldn't reasonably buckle that one either. Saw this collar on Amazon with 2-day delivery and decided to give it a try. Glad we did. It is sturdy, yet supple enough to easily buckle, etc. (Plus...It looks great!). We will definitely be purchasing more for all our dogs as needed.

This color broke with in 3 days of my dog using it. I sent an email and was not offered a replacement or refund. Very disappointing.

Stitching that secures the hardware gave out when my heeler ran to retrieve a toy while tied. Leather is thin in the wrong place and broke. My dog didn't even slow down when he reached the end of the cable. Lasted a month. Cheap junk.

The jury is still out, but so far so good
UPDATE: I've upped my score to 5 stars. Since writing my original review, I became concerned about the fit of the collar. I contacted Mike at Logical Leather and asked him about it -- how one hole is too tight but the next one is too loose. He was immediately responsive and very helpful. I HIGHLY recommend that anyone having any sort of issues with their collar, to contact the company. They truly want to provide good customer service and make things right to the best of their ability. I would definitely buy another Logical Leather product if I have need in the future.ORIGINAL REVIEW: I'm going to put this at a 4 star review for now because I can't say I'm in love with the collar, YET. That being said, we just received it and have only fit it, not used it in a "working environment" yet.We have a 56 lb. Viszla / American Staffordshire Terrier mix with a 19" neck who is pretty much one solid muscle typical of bully breeds. He is a rescue and was never properly socialized. Because of this, he is in the process of learning how to approach and interact with other dogs. Until he gets that skill down, he can present as aggressive and insecure. We had been using a well made nylon collar with metal clips, but somehow those clips managed to undo themselves. Since I didn't trust that collar to perform for us, it made me nervous when approaching other dogs. Anyone who has trained dogs knows that your fear translates to the dog, so I knew we needed to get gear we could trust.I shopped for leather buckle collars for a long time but was hesitant to purchase one because nylon clip collars are far more finely adjustable to get the right fit. With a buckle kind, you are dependent upon the pre-drilled holes. After looking at many collars, we chose this one -- a large. My first reaction, honestly, was that this collar was HUGE and would never fit him. It also seems very bulky. But after fitting it to our dog's neck, it fits with the exact circumference as the collar we've been using when placed on the next to last hole of the collar. And as others have said in their reviews, there is an unmistakably strong odor to this collar. I am hoping that after some time passes, that odor will disappear from the airing. Most likely it will soon take on a doggy smell anyway. :-)I want this collar to work and really want to give it 5 stars, but I will withhold that until we've used it and I have a better position from which to judge it.

Not impressed.
Ordered this for my beagles not realizing how thick the color was going to be. Made them look like they didn’t have a neck. They are standard 15inch beagles and the collar took up about half their neck. Definitely not meant for medium size dogs or at least beagles. Ended up returning the collars and went to find different ones at a local let store

At first I really liked them, looked sharp and well made at first ...
I bought two- one for my wily pup and the other for my ol' boy.At first I really liked them, looked sharp and well made at first glance. Went to the vet once and all went to heck. The buckle bent and came undone, collar didn't take much tugging and it's already stretched out- dog started on hole 3 and now I'm at the last hole just to keep it on him. I bought this thinking having something more heavy duty than nylon would hold up better- this fell short fast. And the collar on my other dog the stitching is already frying out and also stretching out- and he don't pull so I'm really peeved about his. I'm going to just go back to chokers and count this as a waste of money.

Bad Collar - Collar Bleeds Color
We were looking for a high-quality leather collar that would not bleed out all over my dogs fur! This was not the best choice for that. Within 48 hours the collar began to lose its color on my dogs fur!
