Update March 2024: they are still securely in place and still look amazing. I am very happy with these. Highly recommend for a good DIY at a fair price.Original review: Waited a while to start my review in case there were problems, but so far SOOO good! I put these up fairly quickly, all by myself. Cutting them down was a bit of a challenge, but they do cut with a kitchen knife. I did follow a suggestion from another customer review to use a 3M tape for a more secure install, as my windows do no have a large lip to install them under. I kept the old heavy blind for months, just in case, but these have held up beautifully. Very pleased with the quality, the aesthetic and the price. Finally chucked the old heavy plastic blinds that kept bowing and falling down. Plan to get more of these for the front of my house so everything matches and for better privacy and light-filtering.

We have purchased several of these and love how well the spring works. Even though we use them daily, they hold up great. The only problem is the adhesive does not really hold long. My husband just screwed it into the top.

The tape does not hold up very well. I used velcro. That seems to work good. I wouldn't purchase this for a large window though. I didn't have to cut mine but I was impressed with the tools added to make it easy if you do need to cut it. It looks very nice. I'm happy with it.

These shades are very very good for the price. I like the fact that they are stick on vs screw in. The tape that comes on them does not work very well though. They fell down multiple times. If your having the same issue, get some nano tape/alien tape (I used duck brand nano-grab tape from Walmart, $5) I never had that issue again.But let's be honest, they are the complete opposite of blackout. All the light comes in through them, which if you don't mind that, they are fantastic.Get them.

03/05/18 Update: the shade that was replaced broke AGAIN. The unreliability of these shades forces me to change my original review from 4 stars to 1. While the idea and price are great, the product just doesn't deliver. I can't reccomend these shades. Just spend a little extra for quality.11/01/17 Update: It's been almost 4 months since I've ordered these and I have ordered more. Unfortunately, one of the blinds did break so I contacted RediShade because they state that they will "run through a brick wall to make things right" if they're customers are dissatisfied in any way. They responded to my email within a few hours and sent a replacement the next day! I am very happy with this company and the fact that they actually do stand by their product. I will definitely be using redi shade for all of my window treatments.Just received and installed this today. So far, I love it!! We cleaned the top trim of the window really good and that thing is NOT coming down. For the reviews that say it's not sticking, I have to assume they didn't clean the trim because that baby is STUCK on ours. It would take some serious work to get it off. Cutting to size was a piece of cake and install was even easier. The reason im giving 4 stars is because I ordered what I assume was an "open box" item where the description assured no damage to the actual item but just that the original packaging had some damage. Unfortunately the blinds did have some minor damage, a small dent on the top plastic and a tiny crack on the side but I just made sure the damaged side was facing inward so it will never be seen. Amazon could maybe do a better job inspecting open box for a more accurate description. Other than that, I am EXTREMELY happy with this purchase and would absolutely reccomend it to others.

I was excited about these and sad they haven’t worked out as advertised. I removed yucky old blinds, primed and painted my windows, and installed these new blinds. It was hard to cut down to size through the bottom plastic but otherwise super easy and smart design. Unfortunately as others have stated, the tape isn’t sticky enough. One of these fell down twice within the first hour of installing and the other fell down within about 6 hours. Bummed I’ll have to buy some stronger tape or have to rig up a way to screw these into the window…. Updated to say that I ended up using my 18ga brad nailer to affix these to the top of the window (see second image). It works great just not the “no tools/hardware needed” solution I was going for originally

These blinds are amazing and incredibly easy to put up!! When cutting I measured the width I wanted them and only cut one end instead of both because it was easier. Highly recommend these!

Love the ease of operation. Make sure you have room inside your wondow jam. I didn’t so I stuck it on the window facing and it still works well inspire of the right angle it has to make.

The quality of the product is great. I chose them for my living room based on filtering light rather than light blocking. They work wonderfully for this purpose! Getting them put up was rather tricky. However, after a few false starts, they were easy to install. Within a few days, two out of four shades started losing the grip. To be fair, the adhesion strip was flat but the surface I was trying to attach it to is not. When I pulled them completely off it made a mess of both the painted surface and the adhesion strip. I ended up using sets of command strip velcro hangers (see photo) (four per window shade). This works and will also allow me to take the blinds down without damaging the surface they're attached to. It’s also tricky to get them level when raising them – kind of hit and miss. If anyone has a suggestion about how to get them level, I’d love to hear it. The bottom line for me is I’d recommend these to friends and I’m going to order the black-out version for my bedroom.

I bought this in December and the first few months it worked well, but then it started getting lopsided and only one half went up and down. Now it’s completely broken and hangs slack.

The media could not be loaded. Perfect material, easy to install but for some reason it never goes up or down straight. Tries to contact for assistance but I would have to find a way to box it and someone to return them since I have no vehicle

I had these on multiple windows and they were good for a couple years, one broke and I replaced it with this order, this one is junk not even the same quality as the last ones I bought. Im just waiting for it to break. Its never level and you can hear it scarping inside as you pull it up and down. The other thing is it cost 3 times what I paid 3 years ago.

Easy to cut and install. Looks great. Have had many compliments on them. The fabric doesn't LOOK durable but too early to tell. Year one at the cottage has been great tho
