I was pretty astounded by just how much AEG managed to pack into this boxed set. Usually when you hear "And much, much more" on the back of a box or book it's dismissed as hyperbole, but it's absolutely true in this boxed set. Three books detailing the setting (one for the geography, one for the NPCs, and one for adventures), two small "in character" prop books, a map of the city, a gamemaster screen, 6 premium character folios, a pad of more disposable standard character sheets, a set of dice, several cards detailing in-character actions, and even a dice bag.In all seriousness, all you need is the basic rulebook and this boxed set and you're ready to go on an extended campaign, the setting provided is fresh and interesting, and the quality of the books is what you would expect from AEG (though they are of course softcovers). For the price you pay here from Amazon it's a fantastic value (you'd probably pay that much for the books alone separately. My only (very) minor criticism is that the included map is kind of useless as it has absolutely no annotations on it, you basically have to use it in conjunction with one of the books included in the set.All in all, one of the best boxed sets I've ever seen, and I've seen a lot of them.

Seriously this thing is like christmas in a box. Several interesting small books to read through, a bunch of really sweet dice in a nice bag, technique cards, maps, just tons of stuff. Not the crunchies product in the line but the setting makes up for it.I do have trouble finding a good way to use the character sheets though, especially the premium ones. Pencils don't seem to leave a solid mark.Reccomended for anyone wanting to Run L5r on a regular basis.

Ive been a long time fan of the Legend of the 5 Rings world, and I mainly buy the RPG for the stories. Everything in this box set is extremely well made, and should be a great addition to anyone that loves the L5R world.

This box set is really awesome! The artwork is fantastic and it has everything one needs to run the 2nd City campaign. I also like how it states that you can borrow stuff from the book to use in a campaign that you designed.

Truly a wicked cool product. Stuffed full of information for many campaigns to come. And throw in the bonus L5R dice and dice bag, character portfolios, a pad of character sheets and ability cards to boot. Wow!

A really great product! Three books, two booklets, 4 card sets, 1 dice set, 1 map and more for one of the best RPGs out there. A must buy both for fans of L5R and for RPG lovers.

Contains several high quality books, a gm screen, dice, dice bag, and cards for school techniques. Overall I am very happy with this box.

I got this for the pads of character sheets. Unfortunately half of them you cant actually write on. They should have included some form of writing tool that allows you to write on the sheets. I liked the dice. The game books were ok. But worst of all the cards that show the clan techniques were messed up. I didnt get a full set. 3 were missing and 3 were duplicated.
