Value in quality horizontal sheath
Got this horizontal right hand pull leather sheath and it fits my full tang Buck Knives Omni Hunter perfectly. The leather feels sturdy and solid, with no play with the rivet snaps, stitching looks good and thickness of leather looks durable, but as all things leather, time will tell. My Omni came with a sheath provided by Buck, but its retention loop is loosening from daily wear and tends to "float" along my beltline, where when new held firmly in place and still serves its purpose, just not to my satisfaction. I enjoy the feel of this new sheath set at about the middle of my back(though this could be placed on the hip, cross bag, back pack strap etc,) and the placement makes it easy to retrieve and re-insert with ease. Another reason I got this sheath was concealment, not so much with LEO's (as with all law enforcement, I always declare if I have a blade, even before they ask), but I've noticed people eyeing the original sheath that hung down exposed and can tell it makes them nervous especially if they seem the type to not carry a blade, or understand that it's just a tool I use often everyday, whether its cutting, scoring, marking, prying, etc. There is also a loop of leather on the sheath to hold a ferro rod,(I assume). I used a Cochlans ferro rod and it held tightly, but not too tightly for me to struggle with it. As well, this sheath fits snug against my belt with not a lot of give, especially when drawing and sheathing the blade, which is rather important to me and will probably be for most blade enthusiasts. My only issue was a minor bit of leather that was loose on the sheaths exterior, possibly from an adhesive issue on the retaining strap on the sheath, it is merely cosmetic and an easy fix and does not effect the function of the sheath. So, if its EDC, Bush Crafting, Outdoors Life or other, I would recommend this sheath for others. It has a good price point, feels durable, and fits its intended purpose.

Great fit
My son bought me a knife and I wanted to carry on the back of my belt, for me it sits better there for when I’m riding my motorcycle. My knife fit perfectly in it, the design is nice and I love the quality of the leather. Functional for what I wanted and great value for the price you pay. I highly recommend!!!!

Cheaply made overpriced garbage
Cheaply made overpriced garbage. Very awkward to put in the belt and already looks like it’s falling apart.

The quality for that price is absolute trash. The craftsmanship is low, and the leather is overdried and purely burnished. A few rivets had scratches out of the bag. The stitching has defects. There are a few under-dyed places.

Love the sheath, looks and feels great. I'm just unsure of longevity, a rivet on the ferro rod holder popped the first time I took this out mushroom picking. The knife shown in the picture is a mora, it fits lengthwise(just) but I had to add the paracord lanyard and slip it under the buckle to keep knife from falling out of sheath. Definitely made for a little thicker knife but I'm still happy with it other than quality... maybe I just got a bad one? The leather and stitching seems ok.

Low quality leather. Poorly done stitching. Fit snug at first but after a few weeks the leather stretched and no longer held the knife securely in the sheath. Design is great but poorly executed construction and below par materials. At least it was a minor investment. Don’t waste your money.
