Not the same as original, but worked. You do NOT necessarily need to disassemble your Xbox.
These belts are very different than the ones included in my White HDMI Xbox 360. The difference made me take a star away. They are much smaller and thinner, so I was a little leery at first but it worked.Turned out my Xbox 360 had *two* disc drive problems, and this was one of them.I needed to use a straight edged hemostat (or you could use locking tweezers) to solve both problems and did NOT have to take my Xbox apart.First, however, you have to get the drive door open. You may need to take off the faceplate, and find the lever and use the paperclip trick. There are numerous youtubes for doing this. The power off and the door open, but the Xbox still assembled, use the locking tweezers to remove the old belt and slip the new one on. Again, there is at least one Youtube showing this very process. The locking hemostats (or locking tweezers) will prevent a belt from falling into your unit. This is actually easier done than said.Guess what. The door worked! But it couldn't read any discs! So I had another problem.I took my locking tweezers and pinched a Q-tip in it. I had to go in deep for the next part.I took some 91% isopropyl alcohol (the kind they use for sterilizing needles, not the 70% "rubbing" alcohol) and moistened the Q-tip. I went in with the intention of cleaning everything off, but my 'target' was the disc drive lens which is just past the disc spindle, so I had to reach in deep with that Q-tip.I pulled it out and checked the Q-tip. It got dirty quickly as it was picking up all the dust inside. I replaced it 3 times while cleaning. The 91% alcohol evaporates quickly and leaves no residue. (you can also use this to clean camera lenses)Everything now works like a champ. Before I did this, I was honestly checking out everything from local repairs, to refurbished Xbox's to maybe even an Xbox One.But my 360 works like a champ now. Being frugal is psychologically rewarding as well as financially.

2 Xbox 360's back to good.
I put these on two 360's today both had trays that wouldn't open. One worked with the credit card trick, the other did not like you'd get nothing. I will say I took apart the Xbox 360 systems and pulled out the rom player to clean and grease it up, also dust and clean the rest of the system. I added the new belts and now both disk trays work great. As a side note 4 stars because the first order was undeliverable. The second time I ordered was the same day it didn't come. On the day it arrived it was a windy day, it had been a windy day, the Amazon delivery person could have tucked it under the front rug they did not and it blew away pretty far in the few min it took for them to leave and me opening the door. Just be aware or the wind that day if this is shipping alone.

Optical Drive Belts
These belts worked fine on some of my cd/dvd drives, but not all. They worked on an Asus drive, and on an HP 1140 dvd drive very well, but on an HP 1270 dvd drive these belts were a bit to tight and would open and then close the drive and keep repeating opening and closing non stop, so I had to go back to the original belt for that drive to work properly. The distance from the center of the pulleys on the HP 1270 drive was longer then the other two dvd drives the belts worked fine on. These new belts fit nicely around a nickel (5 cent coin) the belt of the HP 1270 was closer to the diameter of a quarter (25 cent coin).Other then the fit on the HP 1270, I am satisfied with these belts getting my other drives working properly.

The cure for the white XBox360 DVD tray won't open
I have 7 grand kids, 5 of them still like to play video games when the weather is not so nice or they are tired out from playing in the neighborhood. They range in age from 7 to 13 and they don't all like the same games (except for Minecraft which they will play for hours.) So I have several old, white XBox 360s that I have picked up cheap. Many of them had or developed the "I'm not opening my DVD tray today, so there!" syndrome. The problem is easily fixed in most cases by replacing the drive belt. And that can be done from the outside without opening the case. The only thing I was missing was a replacement drive belt. This package solved my problem. After I get the door opened, it takes maybe a minute to replace the belt and my grand kids are ready for another hard day of MineCraft, Boarderlands, and Halo. The replacement belts seem to be a higher quality than the originals, at least I haven't had one fail yet.

These worked to fix my XBOXs
I was having the same issue with two XBOXs. The DVD drive would not open and I was also having trouble with the Drive reading discs. I was researching buying DVD drive replacements and it appeared I was in for quite an ordeal to ensure I had the exact same DVD Drive and something to do with a Key in the firmware.Luckily I cam across these while shopping for a DVD Drive on Amazon and gave it a shot. All I can say is both of my DVD drives work now. I did some cleaning up of the gears while I was in there too. I installed the foam strips with adhesive backing that surprisingly came together with these belts and all is working well.I do suggest that you watch a couple of Youtube videos to get you going if you don't know how to take apart the Xbox. It's not that bad at all. I also recommend watching a Youtube video on XBOX DVD drive repair also. There are good tips in these videos that will make your job go really easy. I'm no professional and I can get this job done within 30 minutes to an hour at most.

Good to have replacement bands for an XBOX dvd drive
Have repaired my XBOX optical drive several times. You can find YouTube videos on how to do it and save yourself money. Very easy and good deal.

Not great for original XBOX
I am refreshing some old XBOX game machines. Most of the problems with these old guys is the o-ring on the DVD drive. The get loose from time and your drive does not open. I bought this because some reviews said they are good for the og xbox too. They are a bit loose though and could be about a mm smaller to guarantee a better fit. They do work mostly, but you can see when operating the the disc drawer that the belts have some slop in them. Time will tell if they hold up, but the xboxes are like 20 years old already. Some on line guides to rebuilding the xbox show better options. Good luck!
