I gave this to my husband for Christmas after doing much research. When he opened it the plug European and there was no adapter and no place in all the reviews etc did it say it needed an adapter. Extremely disappointed sending back!!!

The weather station I got not for the US came with an European plug.

This product is unique in that it connects to wifi and shows a 4 day forecast, instead of just using a cheap barometer to "predict" local weather. However, it has a lot of issues that make it not useful at all.1) Comes with EUROPEAN plug... STILL! Was not a fluke and company has not done anything to fix it. I borrowed an adapter to try it out.2) Changing time zone or setting time only lasts for 30 minutes. Once it reconnects to the atomic clock it overwrites your settings and goes back to the default timezone. Daylight savings is not supported, so no matter where you are your clock is guaranteed to be wrong at least 50% of the time! Instructions even say that your settings should stay, but programmer messed it up.3) Clock takes up about 2% of screen. Its microscopic! Really bad design...for a CLOCK! Especially an alarm clock.4) Viewing angle sucks. Not an IPS screen. Its LCD. Any more than 10% tilt and you can't see it well at all.So, sadly I had to return it. I really really wanted to like it but having incorrect time just is not acceptable for a "clock".

That's Because I Really Didn't Want The Electric Power Supply Anyway ... I Wanted To Hook It Up To The USB Port On My Cable Box , Which I Did ... You Can Also Buy The Power Adapter With Multiple Connector Tips If You Want To Use An Outlet ... This Unit Has Alot More Features Than My Old Unit ... Such As Indoor & Outdoor Temp Readings , Wind Speed , Humidity , Alarm Clock , Date , Time , Etc... Only Feature I Didn't Get Was The Phases Of The Moon ... A Boy Can Dream I Guess ... Fully Satisfied Again !!! It Has Batteries That Will Run The Unit In A Power Outage , But It Turns The Lighting Off After 15 Seconds To Conserve Power ... It Can Be Used On Batteries Alone , But That Was The Reason I Didn't Like My Old One Because I Had To Change Batteries Every Few Weeks ... Did I Mention That It Runs Off Of WIFI ... I Was Right , When Daylight Savings Kicked In , I Now Have The Correct Time ... At Least Until The Next Time Change ... I Implore The Manufacturer To Put A Fix In The APP So I Can Have 365 Day Correct Time !!! I wanted a weather station that also gave me wind, (taken from local sources), this seemed to be the only one on the market. I could put up with the constantly blinking displays by putting black tape over the clouds and lightning bolts. Then it stopped reporting anything all together. Amazon tech no help, Fan ju support even less. The video on You Tube could barely be understood the English pronunciation was so poor. By the time we realized we were going to get no help, (almost two months since failure) the window to return had closed. Amazon stepped up however I think because of the CoronaVirus and lack of support staff and accepted the return of a return last week. I do not recommend this item to anyone

Purchased this as a gift for my engineer feel husband! He is a weather fanatic and this seemed like it would be right up his alley! And it is. The display is excellent and extremely easy to read. It has a moderate amount of set up necessary, but the instructions were easy. The outdoor module has a few minor issues to note. The set up for the outdoor module is not clearly covered in the instructions; even in the same location the outdoor module and indoor display do not read exactly the same; and there is no FCC IS label on the outdoor module which is required for US marketing. Which leads to the biggest surprise.....The power plug is not correct for USA. And saying all that, my husband loves it! A power adapter is a minor glitch and set up took all of about 20 minutes.
