Vedoneire Mens Wax Jacket (3050 Brown) Motorbike Style Designer Coat from Ireland

This is a well-made jacket, good stiching and lining, good pockets, and nice style. I wanted an autumn/spring weight jacket with good style and rain resistance. (I live in the DC area), so usually don't need more than a field coat for those seasons.I had been looking for wax-cloth, seemed like the right kind of water resistant cloth. I like the weight and fit of this jacket.However, I'm rating it a four*, because it is more shiny and synthetic in feel (perhaps due to heavier wax), than I expected). If the label didn't reassure me that it was 100% cotton, I'd have assumed it was some kind of fake leather. I'm going to keep it, because it meets most of my needs, but the few other wax-cloth jackets I've come across dind't seem quite so shiny in appearance or synthetic fabric in feel. I hope it maybe will get better with age.Regarding the fit, the fit is very precise. I'm a 42: chest, 38: waist, 42" at the hip (where this jacket hits me), and I usually where 34/35 sleeve length. I bought the large (41-43 chest), and it fits very precisely, with good arm length. As others have said, layering underneath would make this too tight. So, if you're one of those with a 42-plus chest, you might want to go up a size.Finally, this jacket arrived exactly a week to the day after I ordered it. Amazingly fast shipping!

I was looking for a good waxed cotton jacket that wasn't mostly nylon and wasn't $300. This coat is exactly what I wanted. The material is exactly what you want in a waxed cotton jacket - reviewers who say it feels plastic-y clearly haven't seen the real British classic up close. The fit is slim, but still a little boxy as a field coat should be. For reference, gap shirts in medium fit me perfectly. The finish quality is very good, and has a craftsman's attention to detail. For this price this jacket is a steal! I would buy again in a heart beat. Also, for international shipping it came very quickly. I've already bought another coat from this company and will likely be purchasing some shirts as well.

This is a good quality jacket, practical for our wet but not so cold Southern Winters. I have had a couple of Barbour jackets, and this one is comparable quality. It doesn't have quite as many pockets, but it is well made and costs less than half the price. I am 5-foot-10, weigh about 175 and I was smart to order the Extra Large.It's also shipped directly from Ireland, which is kind of fun.

Great service. No label of origin of manifacture in garnet or accompanying printed materials....suspect it was made in China unless otherwise indicated. If the Irish are proud of their craftsmanship why not tell one? Some reviewers indicated the surface was too shiney, however I didn't feel it was any different than my $700 Berbour. I got it extra large to layer over a jumper in snotty weather....a good value from a mysterious origin... I'm 6', 190 lbs & very satisfied with the XL.

Just received the coat today, one week ahead of schedule. I bought a size large and it fits perfectly. I'm 5' 9" and 160 lb. There is room to layer. I wear a vest when layering to maintain arm and shoulder movement, no sweater, works for me. The material and construction is top notch and would consider other coats from Vedoneire. They should also promote having three interior pockets inside the coat. Need to retrain my brain when using the zipper pull on the opposite side.

The jacket looks heavier in the photo. It is a very nice jacket. This is a jacket for fair weather and although I like it, I would not wear this when the temps drop below 55 degrees f.

Jacket is nice looking and fits well. It is a little lighter than expected and doesn’t have the same exterior texture as traditional wax (e.g., Barbour) jacket.
