Jorgensen 3712-LD Light Duty 12-Inch Steel Bar Clamp

These clamps are perfect for holding together the sides of new birdhouses for drilling. Before, the drill holes went all over the place, no matter how hard I tried to hold the joints steady. Now my work looks more professional. The contact points hold to the wood surfaces without marring, and the adjustment handle works great. So glad to have the other reviews, which steered me to this product. Hope my comments help, as well.

Excellent for small projects that require clamping for glue-ups. I find it provides sufficient clamping pressure yet it's not as heavy as my other regular clamps for larger applications. They're always hung right beside my workbench.

part of the challenge of buying things on line is that it is sometimes difficult to tell exactly what you are getting. That was the case with this. It looks identical to the Jorgy clamps that I have purchaed from the woodworking store locally, but these are much lighter weight. yes, i know it SAYS lightweight, but I consider their beefier ones to be lightweight, because they are much lighter than a pipe clamp or beam clamp. It works fine, however, and Jorgensen quality is pretty decent (except the lightweight bench vise which was a bad purchase). Anyway, just be aware of what you are getting, and if lightweight is what you are really after, then this will be fine.
