Great tasting crunch
I know... you are asking: crickets? Really? And yeah! It's great. Insects are "whole animal" and so "nose to tail" and full of nutrients. It actually tastes great, even my 7-year old granddaughter gave them a try. The reason I wanted to try is because of the amazingly meaningless drive toward eating only plants, which for humans are quite harmful, and because this same movement tries to stop others from eating meat. When all the meat is gone, those of us eating insects will continue to enjoy life.

Horrible. Why can’t I return?
Not whole crickets. Not what was advertised.

Who Knew There Were Crickets with Beaucoup Umami?
I have been eating insects for 45 years after a Social Studies teacher said that 80% of the human population ate insects as part of their diet. (I went camping and spit grasshoppers like marshmallows...I recommend salt on them.) I used to subscribe to the Food Insects Newsletter out of the Univ. of Wisconsin. I've eaten pine wild sawyer beetle larvae, homegrown honeybee larvae, ants, "carmine" in yogurt, and many brands of purchased mealworms and crickets. These crickets are BY FAR the best I have ever eaten. I ration them out 1 spoonful per day, with pink salt. Talk about umami, there's almost as much umami in these crickets as Red Boat Fish Sauce, lol. (OK, not quite, but STILL...)

These are dry when eaten as snack, are better when added to another food.
Too expensive for protien snack jerky is better. It would have to be alot cheaper for me to buy again. Hey now I know.

Crickets come as described and there are a lot of them.
The crickets don’t have any added flavor. They are crunchy with an earthy flavor. I purchased them for my environmental science students and the kids enjoyed trying them. They come without the legs as described and most are about 3/4 inches long.

I don’t recommend this product
It tasted like salty dry meat. Unfortunately it made me sick.

A better quality cricket
This is a good product. I’ve been through 3 packages now. Crickets have been fresh tasting and not crushed each time I’ve received them. Few or no legs is also appreciated.

Excellent quality
My 17 year old daughter loves to snack on these. She has tried different brands and prefers these. She said they would be perfect if they were mildly salted, since they have no seasoning, but she loves them and as a vegetarian eats them every day as a protein source.
