The Bourne Collection [DVD] [2016]

Who Is Jason Bourne?
The amnesiac assassin tries to find out his identity in these action movies. This franchise is basically an American attempt at doing James Bond with Matt Damon in one of the best roles of his career in a terrific action series. First up, The Bourne Identity the underrated first film sees a man washed up in the ocean after being shot with no memory of who he is as he attempts to find out what happened to him. A fun and gripping first film with terrific action and performances from the cast. The Bourne Supremacy sees Bourne go after the corrupt government officials that turned him into an assassin and is an excellent follow up again with terrific action and performances. The Bourne Ultimatum is one of the best modern action movies around seeing Bourne hunted by the American government who want to silence him again with terrific action and performances. The Bourne Legacy is the weakest and most pointless film in the series seeing new character Aaron Cross get involved who also went through the same training program as Jason Bourne though Jeremy Renner is good in the lead with good action you can't help feel that you miss Bourne. The finale, just called Jason Bourne is another modern action classic with Matt Damon back as Bourne still on the run from the government who want to silence him. A terrific set of action movies with excellent picture quality and sound.

No download
I bought this set of five to watch intermittently at home, and on tour on my iPad. I paid £24.99 only to find that, to download or stream, one uses UltraViolet which has taken over Flixter. Anyway neither of these exists now, so the steaming/download don’t exist, and haven’t for a while. I look again to find it has gone down to £16.39, presumably because of this , though it’s still up on Amazon as ‘Includes Digital Download’. It doesn’t.I haven’t watched any of them yet(because no download), so I can’t comment on quality, but anyway if it’s good, for 16.39 it’s probably good value as it is, but there is definitely no download.UPDATE(It’s down to £12.45 now)I’ve had a look at the first two Blu-rays on what I believe to be a good machine and tv, and it’s more grainy than the recording I had from a broadcast of it, especially the first one. Not what I expect from Blu-ray. Interestingly, it says at the beginning "as this is a new format, some features will not work". Seriously, how old is this set??If you’re content with that, £12.49 is good (it definitely includes "Jason Bourne"). If you want quality, I’d pay and watch them one by one on Prime Video or something

Films good , digital downloads of five films all failed.
This collection of five Bourne (Matt Damon) films in high definition tell the story but with some screenplay lower definition bits.Be aware if you are in part getting the collection for the included digital downloads, the codes supplied will not work on the website and all show ERROR incorrect passwords. I have contacted the customer service people for Ultraviolet who explained the passwords are " time sensitive " with no further explanation or correspondence. The only good thing about my purchase is the low price that I paid compared to the release price of more than £50.And no playback errors on any of the five discs.

I’m pleased, wasn’t expecting downloads included so nice surprise
Brilliant collection. Wasn’t expecting digital downloads with them so that was a nice extra. Just a shame one of the codes had expired but as I wasn’t expecting the downloads I wasn’t too bothered. UltraViolet no longer exists but codes are still redeemable via google play

Fantastic Collection
Loved the books, but the movies bought him to life, Matt Damon was so believable I was in owe of his character. I know so much was left out of books but what they put in and added was believable. I was sad every time something went wrong for him, when his girlfriend dies I cried. Love 1,2,3 the best movies as a story.

All 4 first Bourne movies
One of my favourite series. Particularly liked Jeremy Renner.

Great Film
Brilliant films has you on the edge of your seat. The fourth one that does not include Matt Damon I feel should be watched totally separately. For me that one does not fit in.

Excellent box set
What can I say, the gorgeous Matt Damon in a box set. The films are outstanding, watched them many times. Bought this box set as a gift for a relative who had never seen them before - they were very happy and went on to buy the newest Bourne film in the series separately.
