Gnarley Sport kites are designed to fly in a wide range of conditions. Using a combination of pulls and pushes (to give slack to the lines), complex tricks and patterns can be flown. For smooth and consistent flying, a steady breeze is required. ONLY ONE QUESTION REMAINS: WHO WILL PULL OFF THE MOST GNARLEY TRICKS?

Great idea, but broke the first day
Great idea, but broke the first day. I bought this for my niece. Her dad helped her put it together. There are too many pieces and when you crash it they fly everywhere and you can't find them. It's a bit too complicated and frustrating for a kid, annoying for the adults too. I should have returned it, but got busy and didn't make the deadline. I would not recommend this or purchase it again. I still have what remains of the pieces. I may try to rig some other parts to work. If you buy it, I would plan on reinforcing with super glue and duct tape before you lose all the pieces!

Fun kite, good quality!
I haven't been able to get this out into any strong wind, but so far it's been really fun. I recommend buying some small plastic s-clips to attach the lines to the kite. This will let you unhook the lines quickly when you're putting the kite away for the day, and will let you attach the lines quickly when you take the kite out again, which you will do, because the kite is really fun.

Complete waste of money
Cheap peace of junk. Bars are cheap plastic straws the snapped from a slight wind gust while putting together the first time! Complete waste of money. Ill fitting cheap plastic straws?!? What is wrong with this picture?! Beyond aggravated.

Spend some more money on a better kite.
Too easy to lose critical pieces (rib connecting "T", if kite hits the ground and one or more ribs spring out of their pockets.Spend some more money on a better kite. Or plan to use some duct tape. I couldn't easily find a source of replacement 'T" pieces.

The color is not purple, it's pink. I ...
The color is not purple, it's pink. I had bought it for a boy and had to return it. The kite overall was a little smaller than expected but maybe it's because it's for kids beginning to learn how to stunt fly their kites.

... average difficulty to put together - my son really enjoyed the ability to do tricks with the kite
Though this was slightly above average difficulty to put together - my son really enjoyed the ability to do tricks with the kite. Taking this to the OBX was fantastic and a surprise to him. Would recommend this for the novice kite person - not for beginners.

Three Stars
It's fun. However, this product is not very durable as it breaks after few 'crashes'.

This is my first review but this kite was nice easy to put together
This is my first review but this kite was nice easy to put together. until you tried to fly it then the first minor crash the thing flew apart the full length support rod cracked. to put it back together I had to use electronical tape. The kite was a great size and the bag was great for carrying.
