fun to assemble

This is my third u gears kit I've bought for my hubby. He absolutely loves them and they are a great way to de-stress for him. Everyone he has made works brilliantly. I will be buying him more of these kits in the future

I got this as an add on for the "heavy boy truck" Its a little spendy for what you get but it is necessary to complete the set. Its simple to put together. does not take much time. Not much gearing to work with. I feel it is a little weak in some spots and could have been better engineered to make this a more solid model. The instructions are always great with the Ugear line. I would buy this again.

I like the products from UGEARS, the following is why I give three stars. These models are a fun build and the wood thicker and a bit sturdier than some other companies but when there are rubber bands and toothpicks involved and there are no replace parts for the very important larger parts this model becomes very frustrating and yes I am 58 years old and I have a ton of patience. I have bought from this company a few times and I enjoy the build but this semi truck has rubber bands for it’s “motor” and the two parts that I need to attach the rubber bands too well some of the smaller parts of those parts break as I am removing them from the hanger boards, and then there are the parts no matter how well I sand them or wax them they refuse to go gentle into their spots and then trying to stretch the “Rubber band motor” into place is very frustrating and I end up breaking something that is sticking out or breaks as I am trying to get things into place. Then there is the tying of the rubber bands which is a totally different type of frustration and the toothpicks I end up poking myself on the ones I have to keep long so they can fit into a part later. These models say no glue, but I end up using glue to hold the toothpicks in place for non-moving parts and if there is no replacement part for a broken piece I have to glue those back together hoping that once the model is finished they hold together. For one part that has five pieces I used a dab of glue to hold them together, this part is what is used to turn the rubber bands and trying to get that one part holding the rubber bands through those five pieces would be a big pain if I had to do it individually while trying to make sure two parts will fit into their proper slots. I am going to continue this build and like the last one I bought it won’t move, yes even if I have no problems and everything fits together with no issues for me the end product does not move as advertised. I will paint this model from this point on, I try not to paint inside pats or moving parts, but sometimes a little paint does get on them. Yes, I will buy more from UGEARS.

Es genial. Pero hay que ir con mucho cuidado a la hora de montarlo, no podemos olvidarnos que es contrachapado y por tanto endeble en algunas piezas. A mi realmente me ha entretenido mucho. Compraré mas productos de esta firma.

You must be a genius to construct the truck. The instructions are not intuitive and there are limited demo videos for this model. My boy had given up after working on it for a month. It is a mammoth task and requires hell of a skill.
