Didn’t stop my cat from licking
Our cat has licked her tummy bare so I tried this product on her. It had absolutely NO effect! She went to licking as if I hadn’t sprayed her. I touched my tongue to it and it tastes horrible! It’s very bitter. Apparently, my cat didn’t mind it!

Okay
It hasn't been too useful. My dog is still licking the couch. Doesn't seem too effective.

Excellently awful
I got a bottle awhile back and left it at my dad's house when moved out my dad had used it on a turkey tail because he caught the cats chewing on it afterwards they left it alone, fast forward, got a puppy and it loved to chew on charger cords, so my dad sprayed that and the dog left it alone after it's new tasteBut one thing I will mention is you need to do is use it outside and wash your hands with soap twiceAfter l used it I discovered that washing your hands once with soap then eating food you eat with your hands is a bad idea, which my dad found out the hard way after I told him to wash your hands really good after using ithe also discovered that spraying it will almost always get some in your mouth my dad sprayed it in the living room and that made my step mom retreat to another room and that's when my dad also fled the room to outside to finish spraying the charger cords he wanted to go back to the living room afterwards but had to open the windows and turn on a fan before he too retreated to the same room as my step momSo in other words handle this excellently awful stuff with care

There's a Problem with Odor
I ordered this in case our cat continued chewing on things, but it was a while before I needed to try it. The cat likes to chew on plastic and tape. I installed an AC in a window, and had to tape all around the adapter to seal things in, and she started chewing on the tape. So I sprayed all the tape with this. I did not notice much odor at all at the time. But the next day when I ran the AC, only the second day of using it this year, the room filled with a somewhat unpleasant, citrus-like odor. I mean, it pretty bad. I investigated every possibility, including contacting the AC manufacturer. There was simply nothing in our fragrance-free home to cause this smell, and there was nothing coming in from outside. I spent so much time trying to figure out a solution, and eventually borrowed a different AC unit from somewhat, uninstalled the old, installed this one, turned it on, and there was that #### odor! It wasn't from the AC. Then somehow it hit me. I had sprayed this bittering agent the day before the smell started. That was the only thing that could have caused it. I scrubbed everywhere the spray had hit, with several different agents, and it was still there. I replaced all the stuff in the window, and taped everything with different tape. It has been slowly easing since then. It was horrible experience. Absolutely wouldn't recommend this product. Be warned it may sneak up on you.

I am not a cat
The cat licked it. I heard others complain about this, too, but I think this passes at least one of the tests, not toxic to cats. After that, the cat did stay away from the cords. With any of these products, I think the price could be a bit better.I have also heard that wrapping your cords in aluminum foil helps deter cats. I think not having them around and appealing is part of the problem, but I probably angered another reviewer in saying that. I bought this for a friend. My cat does not try to get cables.Another tip, because spraying cables is just like asking for an electrical disaster, in my opinion, spray a paper towel or rag, and rub the cable between the fold of the towel. That did the trick without risking fluid and electronics. lol
