FoPerry's - Eco-Friendly High Heat Resistant Silicone BBQ Grill/Oven Gloves - Bundled With A Grill Mat ★

I received a pair of these and have had a chance to try them out. I must say I'm disappointed. I should have paid more attention to the multiple reviews that state the customers were offered a discount for an "honest review." I believe that is code for something but that's just minor speculation. I'll just give my experience. The first time I used them was pulling a baking sheet of baked chicken wings. The seam of the anterior and posterior glove follows the purlicue and the lip of the baking sheet, out of an oven cooking at 375, transferred its heat right into the glove at that point of my hand. I was able to hold the pan for close to 10 seconds before I was unable to tolerate the heat any longer. My next task was cleaning a cast iron griddle in my sink after cooking and while still hot but the heat had been off for a while to let it cool so I wasn't dealing with a lot of steam. Using a chain mail square I purchased through Amazon I scrubbed with my right hand and held the griddle from below with my left using the FoPerry gloves. I had to continuously change from fingers to palm while I cleaned the griddle because the heat was too much and when the gloves were hot they did not lose their heat very fast. They seemed to retain it which led to longer discomfort. The last time was when my wife cooked some bacon in the bottom of our porcelain enameled cast iron dutch oven. She came to me afterwards and told me that moving the pot from the stove to the counter was uncomfortable due to the heat that came through the gloves. That was all I needed to hear.Some positives are the gloves are easy to clean, I don't see any holes or gaps, and the fit is good for hands my size which are probably adult male medium. Some extra room as well but if your hands are wet they are a challenge to don. They are thin which adds to their flexibility but perhaps that is why they cannot absorb or disperse heat like I hoped they could.In summary I would not recommend these. They did not work to my expectations.

Not as heat resistant as I had hoped for requiring me to use a pot holder along with the gloves. I burned my hand the first time.

So far I've enjoyed using these thick silicon gloves to move things out of the oven. I use a pizza stone on a regular basis and these have made it easier to pull it out of the oven without having to hunt for a wash-towel to grab it. I was a little disappointed though in the fact the gloves didn't offer lengthy resistance to heat. I'm not talking about sticking your hand into a fire, but I couldn't even hold my pizza stone (heated to 350 degrees) for longer that 10 or 15 seconds. I guess I'm not sure what I was expecting, but these do offer resistance to heat when working with a grill. The grilling mat I was concerned might add "chemical" flavors to the shrimp I cooked, but I didn't have any trouble on a charcoal grill. All in all a good buy and offers what I would expect from gloves like this.I did receive this item discounted for my opinions and thoughts on the product.

I have these, can barely feel any heat. Love the grips patterns that literally everywhere. Sticks to all kinds of surface when I'm grabbing hot plates and pans. No strong rubbery smell which is important to me. Fits perfect for my average sized hand, was afraid it might be too small or too large but it wasnt. Thumbs up just like the picture says. Would recommend to my friends any time. Great oven mitts. Hopefully they come out with other colors soon as I am lovin it.

These things are awesome! As an avid BBQ guy, I can't believe its taken me this long to get some of these! I used to just kinda be "quick" with my BBQ tending and meat/veggie flipping, whatnot. But I could never be comfortable or take the time i needed. Some friends of mine recommended these, so i finally stepped up and got some. WHAT A CHANGE! Now I can grill and flip and tend until my heart (and stomach!) is content.And the grilling mat! Wow... these I hadn't used before. But a quick you tube search filled me in! Never knew there was such a thing! But dang if it's not awesome! For marinades and wet stuff, this thing rocks! No more dripping sauce onto the coals and putting out the fire. ROCK STAR!BRAVO, FoPerry! Great products here. The gloves alone are a great value, but to have the mat as well? SUPER WIN!I definitely recommend this product!

They are neat, but you can't hold hotter items for very long without the heat seeping through. Meant as a two second solution to getting something out of the oven.Make sure you have things set aside so you know where you're putting the pan or else the heat will definitely start to hurt your hand while you move stuff around.

as expected

I ordered this set with my husband in mind for grilling and smoking foods on his smaller. I found out they are awesome for taking meet off the rotisserie as well. I had a pair similar but they were hard to get on and off these are great and I put them in the dishwasher to clean them. I love them and would recommend them to anyone. I did get a discount for submitting a review but they are a great product
