PUREPET D-Grease Dog and Cat Shampoo, 16-Ounce

I have a sphynx who gets the brown oil on her skin when she sleeps. When she gets in bed with me I have her lay on a blanket but most times she moves around and ends on my sheets and my sheets get stained. I bought this to use on her in her bath but also thought I would try on my sheets. I just scooped some out and put directly on the areas that were stained and spread it out with my hand. I then threw it in the wash. I was shocked that most of the stains lifted. I had even tried several wash stain removers and nothing worked. I reapplied on the spots that didn’t come out the first time washed again, and even more came out to where I can barely tell. I also had a second set that was really bad and I put some of the D-Grease on it and then used a scrub brush, and it lifted almost all of it! This stuff is great.

Wow. I've never seen anything work like this, in all seriousness. One of our cats developed "stud tail," something I'd never heard of, especially since they are both female. Tufts of fur being shed and very rough, bumpy skin. We applied this dry, let it sit for a couple of minutes and rinsed her off. The next morning, the bumps and roughness were GONE. Completely gone! My daughter and I were sincerely amazed. We applied it once more, just to be sure, and a week later, her fur is noticeably returning and the bumps are not. We are going to shampoo our pug with it next, to try and get some of the waxy build-up out of her creases, etc. - but at this point, I cannot recommend this highly enough!!

I bought this for my cat who has stud tail. Stud tail is where a waxy greasy substances is excreted from the tail. I washed his tail twice with this and his tail still has this waxy stuff. I think maybe it works ok for the hairless cats but it is not working for the stud tail on my cat.I do like that there is no fragrance or other stinky stuff in this shampoo so I rated it 3 stars but it states it is good for stud tail and I am sorry but it just does not work as advertised for stud tail.I would consider using this as a normal shampoo for my pet but I think stud tail needs a stronger soap to cut the waxy grease.Still looking for a better option to get my cats tail clean.

Exactly what I needed for my dog's greasy ears! He's a Britt/Setter and he gets semi-frequent ear infections. I've tried many shampoos, and I even tried Dawn liquid dish soap, to remove the gunk that remains on his hair, after my dog's ear treatments are over. Nothing got the hair on and around his ears clean and silky-soft until now. PuerPet D-Grease shampoo cleaned the hair completely. I'm very impressed.It didn't require a lot of it, either; just about as much as I might use for hand lotion or sunscreen, and it did the job on the greasy gunk. I've already told every dog owner I met on my morning walk.

I bought this for my cat... I have a Sphynx and he has to be bathed regularly because of the oils in his skin. And although it cleaned him well, I think it is a bit too harsh to use on animals. He did not tolerate it well at all. I think he had an allergic reaction to it. I use it to clean his collar now, but I will never put this on his skin again.

Love this shampoo! Got it for my sphynx after reading some other reviews... cuts the nasty sphynx oils really well without overdrying his skin (including his chin!). Not sure how long this will last between washes, with previous shampoos he was getting baths once a week - I'll update this review if the frequency changes. Gotta give them credit though, he's clean and soft still 3 days later - and rubbing his chin all over me doesn't leave little sphynx oil streaks. Highly recommend - a little goes a long way.

I was looking for a mild soap to clean my sphynx cats. This has a mild scent, good lather, easy rinse, and cleans my nakee's without drying their skin. Love It! A little goes a long way so it will last you a long time. Highly recommend for fellow sphynx owners who need a shampoo that gets the grease off without stripping their sensitive skin.

My cat has diabetes and his skin gets very greasy and this worked great. He was scratching all the time nor did he have major dandruff. Would highly recommend this product.
