Edit: I still have these pet carriers and it is almost 5 years later. I gave one to my mom because one of my cats died. I still love these carriers. They have withheld the test of time and many transport of cats later. My mom loves them because of her ridiculously hard to wrangle cats. It was a great purchase. Truly worth the money!Original Post:These carriers are Big! I bought one for each of my cats. One cat is around 11 pounds and the other is 9 pounds. They had more than enough room and were not cramped even with a towel I put in with them for comfort. Yet sturdy enough I didn't feel like it was going to break.I bought the product because I was moving to a nearby city and I needed to take my cats to the vet. At the vet's office I had one rather large dog jump on the crate. It didn't budge or bend. I was really impressed. My cat wasn't too happy. But he would have been more upset if the carrier broke!The set up was easy! The package was shipped in two pieces (the top upside down in the bottom) and came with little screws that you can screw in with your hands. It came with extra screws (which is amazing for me because I have 2 very active cats who loved to get into things)!I read other posts that the top door didn't stay open. Mine stayed open on both units without me having to open it. It stayed open by itself Even with my cats jumping in and out. The top door made loading my cats so easy as well (it made my mom jealous).Pros:•Sturdy•Ease of putting together•Top loading door!!!•Size (for my cats)Cons:•Size- unless you want to break it down when not in use, it will take up A good amount of storage space.I would recommend this product to anyone who has cats. I am very happy with this product.

I bought this because I had two kitties when I purchased this and intended to use it for vet appointments. It looked durable and got all kinds of good reviews. I received it quickly and although I can't say I am a genius in assembling things, I put this together in a short time, most of the time (though not much) was tightening the bolts with these little black wing type nuts on the sides. This is good size kennel and glad I purchased because a week later, I took pity on one of the stray kittens ( a girl) whose mama left her in my yard after weaning, but before I could actually have her as a pet, needed to take to the vet to make sure she was healthy. I kept her in this most of the time when i worked,and before the vet appointment not only to keep her safe from my other two cats, but to protect them from any diseases the kitty I brought in might have had, but let her out at night. Happily, she received a clean bill of health but then came the spaying. She spent a few days in this kennel while I worked and while she healed. It kept her safe, and afforded her enough space to be comfortable, although I would never suggest keeping any animal in one of these for a long period of time for the animals sake, but it was most helpful those first few days after bringing her in when I couldn't be with her and after her spaying. She didn't mind it either. In fact, even after she was free to wander about the house she occasionally went to this kennel and hopped inside with no problem. I really appreciated having this for the reasons I have given, and it is easy to assemble, it is sturdy and durable and roomy for a small or medium sized pet. I liked this and my kitty Sierra liked it. Thank you for such a great product and quick service!!!

Built solid, worked perfect to take my cats to the vet. It's really nice for the price and in great shape. You may have to assemble it, but that's not difficult at all.

I spent a lot of time reading reviews on Amazon & other sites. I was looking for a high quality, top load carrier with 2 easy to open/close doors. I also wanted nuts instead if side latches to be sure the carrier didn't fall apart when carrrying a cat. I read about other carrier's top doors falling open due to latch failures (either poor design or confusion on how to close/they thought it was latched), doors that were difficult to open or close, and some difficult to assemble or poor quality control. This one had the best reviews.I am very happy! This is a great size & had all of the above features I was looking for. I love the latches on both doors, they are easy to work & don't hurt your hand trying to open/close. The top door is an excellent design & I don't worry about it not being latched properly. I like that the nuts are large & ergonomic and that they give you extra in case you lose some. This is a safe & secure cat carrier that's easy to use. Highly recommend!☆ I read some reviews that said the front door wouldn't close or wouldn't fit into the holes. After getting mine, I thought I had the same problem as I assembled it. But luckily I read a good review that explained how to assemble the door properly. The front door vertical bar (the one opposite the latch) does NOT go inside the round holes. It goes inside the rectangular indented area next to the holes. The door will appear Rio be the wrong size & will not close if you put the bar inside the holes. I'm not sure what the holes are for, but I think they should remove them since they are confusing. Or at least make better instructions. That's my only complaint
