Great book that 3-4 graders love to read over and over again.
My kid loves these books. Nicely illustrated and entertaining, once he picks up a book he cannot put it down until it is finished with it. The books also have a very good use life, as he comes back to it again and again and reads it with pleasure, always finding and deciphering a new word play. The hardcover ones also look really nice, with golden foil edge which makes kids think they're reading the premium best of the best adventures.

The only book that my daughter agreed to read
The media could not be loaded. My 8 y o daughter doesn’t like to read. But the school requires to read everyday at home at least 15 min. It was always a fight and sabotage. We trekked a lot of other options, and this one worked best. Why:It has a lot of pics but at the same time it has enough of text.It has games every 3-5th page. So while the kid is reading she gets board less frequently then usually. The book itself made very well. It might be a good option for the gift

GREAT for 3rd Graders!!!
My third-grade son, his best friend and my third-grade students LOVE the Kingdom of Fantasy books. I bought the books for my son originally, because he loves dragons, etc., and after he read the books, he lent them to his best friend, who also loved the books. After his best friend read the series, I brought them to my classroom, and I had kids fighting over them!!! They are in AR and Reading Counts, and al I can say is, if you kid loves dragons, and fantasy and (they are not quite ready for Harry Potter, get these books!!!

Great quality and unique twist on the cover as well ...
Great quality and unique twist on the cover as well as the gold leafed pages compared to the other G. S. books. My ASD son keeps hiding it and reading it after bedtime. Then he hides it again in the morning to keep his other brother from "finding his special book." Both have been interested in this book and it contains more maps and treasure hunts along with graphic separations than the others. It's been a joy reading it with him and watching his 3 y/o brother search through each page for "colors" and "numbers" and missing items.

Amazing story & beautiful hardback book
This is probably one of the BEST books we've gotten for our son. Not only is the story very imaginative, we love the drawings on EVERY page alongside tidbits, mazes or other quirky detail for the storyline. It is the first Geronimo Stilton story we've gotten so I'm happy to say it was worth our giving it a go. I splurged on the hardcover & am so glad that I did so. It's a beautiful book with lovely gilt edged pages. A great one to keep in one's collection to read & reread over & over. An amazing woven story which captivates the young (5 year old) without all of the violence in other fantasy stories.

Great bed-time book for Mom's and Dad's to read to the under 6 (maybe 7) kids.
This is our first book in the Geronimo Stilton series. My 6 year old daughter and I have been reading this nightly, and she is really into the storyline. The book is designed around a series of adventures, so it's pretty easy to find a place to stop when it's bed-time, and the pictures, side stories, and extra activities (mazes, counting exercise, and find the ____ exercises), which are thrown in all over the book, are a fun diversion and add more depth to the storyline. My only struggle with the book, is that often, the text layout and formatting of many pages doesn't line up very well with the flow of the story. For example, frequently, the page ends in the middle of a sentence - forcing a long pause while we flip to the next page (and, usually made worse by the fact that I'm reading in the character's voice). Often, this happens even when there is plenty of space on the page to have completed the sentence. Also, and maybe this is just in my head, it seems that many of these little side stories and extra activities are not always placed in a location in the book that lends itself to a natural pause. This means, now that you've found a break in the paragraph, you need to go back a page (or two) to read more deeply about that item you just missed. There are lots of made up words and variations on fonts (type-faces) that relate to specific words throughout the book. So, the book could be a bit of a challenge for the early readers. My gripe aside, the storyline is well constructed and easy follow for the little ones, and the book is full of colorful pictures that allow the younger (non-reading) listeners to follow along. I'll be buying more of this series.

Great story
My 8 year old loves these books and reads them quite often. She likes that she can read 30 pages in 20 or so minutes. It gives her a sense of accomplishment, and I encourage that when it comes to reading.
