Not up to previous Mundial standards, and I believe these were either a poorly reconditioned pair or factory seconds. I have purchased and used Mundial scissors for years. At one time, I even felt they were of superior quality to Gingher fabric shears. This pair certainly put that idea to rest. These arrived in factory-sealed bubble packaging, like other pairs of Mundial scissors I've purchased. That's where the similarity ended. These shears opened a closed with tremendous difficulty, and didn't cut well. Holding them up to the light, it was clear they were bent. These shears made an audible squeaking noise when they where opened and closed. Returned and ordered another pair of Gingher fabric shears.

being long in the tooth, myself, i can remember back fifty-odd years, when you reached for a pair of shears around the house to cut - whatever - that they fit your hand well, cut the object in question well, and lasted forever. they were what i now know were made well, out of quality material. these were all things we took for granted back then. this third millennium might be a brave new world, but in many ways it has become a shoddy world. 'they don't make things like they used to.'these shears are made like 'they used to' make them. i bet they'll out-live me!

We cut all types of fabrics, foams, and felts. Cuts them all great.

Not as sharp as I expected maybe I needed to larger size ones for more weight to help with the cut..... all in all just ok

My husband very much likes both the quality and strength these scissors have. Alas the cutting blades were too short for his taste. I've returned the 8" pair - to buy the longer 10" pair from the same company.

Awesome quality but these scissors are made for smaller hands than the 10" and 12" units from the same company. If you are a man (or woman) with larger hands, go with one of the larger sizes.

Boy! I thought I'd seen good scissors before but these are in a whole different league. The moment I picked them up I knew that, as long as I didn't lose them, I'd never again have to buy another pair of scissors. These are industrial quality and a joy to hold and use. I'm delighted I decided to splurge on an expensive set of scissors.

If you have ever owned a set of these. You will understand what I'm talking about. These scissors are dropped forged and nickel plated, and hold a edge like nothing I've ever owned before. If the wife is using for fabric you can borrow them for some shop duties without fear of hurting them!I would recommend to a friend.
