Six years ago I bought my first Kindle Paperwhite, and with it I treated myself to a KleverCase (its cover was a facsimile of an edition of Bram Stoker's Dracula). It stayed in good condition for many years of hard use, and I hung onto it even when it began falling apart because I loved it. But this year I decided to replace it, and the new cover has just arrived. It is as beautifully made and sturdy as the first one. Thank you Manor Bindery and Dotty (the wrapper states the case was handmade by her, using traditional bookbinding techniques). I love it.

I really liked this cover when It came. It’s rigid and looks good. However, the magnet is very strong when it’s open and folded back so prising it apart to close it each time I had finished reading is probably what caused the destruction you can see in the photo. I read my Kindle once if not twice every day so it got a lot of wear. After 16 months it was breaking apart and I’ve had to buy a new (different) cover. It didn’t automatically wake my Kindle either which I found I missed. My new cover does have that feature.

My Kindle now looks more like a book in this beautiful binding. Only one drawback, the magnetic thingy is missing so I have to turn the Kindle on and off manually.

Loved very much, extremely aesthetically pleasing too

I was attracted by the idea of having a kindle cover that looks like a real book, but the product was a bit disappointing. It is nicely made but it does look and feel like cardboard. It does bend back so can be held in one hand. The kindle is held in place by strong Velcro, which does work. The cover does not activate sleep mode so you do have to turn the kindle on/off with the button each time you read. Whilst I appreciate its handmade, I think it’s a bit expensive for what it is.
