Brocabulary: The New Man-i-festo of Dude Talk

This book is so poorly written, outrageously stupid and unnecessarily offensive that just flipping through to read random entries left me with the distinct feeling that my IQ had dropped 20 points. While there was the occasional amusing entry, on the whole this book is the worst thing I have ever purchased. Even FHM has better articles (and lets face it, FHM is fairly dumb). This book is simply offensive for the sake of being offensive. While going way over the top to make a humorous statement can be amusing, in this book the author uses the harshest and crudest methods available to deliver a truly stupid book. There is an art to satire...unfortunately, this book fails miserably.Do not buy this book. If your Bro buys this book, take him out back and beat him with a rubber hose.If you want to read something along the same theme, have a laugh, enjoy the satire and maybe pick up a few funny ideas, read "The Bro Code" by Barney Stinson with Matt Kuhn. Barney Stinson is the (legen...wait for it...dary) entertaining character that Neil Patrick Harris portrays on CBS's "How I Met Your Mother".

Bought as a gift

Amazon recommended this to me based on my love of the comedy How I Met Your Mother. HIMYM has come out with a few books already, and thinking this was one of them I ordered it without checking it out. BIG MISTAKE. This book is SMUT. I am a far cry from a feminist but this book is incredibly degrading towards women. This author has serious "mommy-issues." There are even cartoons of women giving...yeah...I won't get too detailed on Amazon...BUT if you are looking for some coffee-table porn...this is the book for you! I read one section and threw this piece of crap in the trash can. Thanks for wasting my money Daniel Maurer, hope you spent it on some counseling sessions with your mom.

I was kind of hoping for something more in a dictionary format that I could joke around with friends with by looking up terms and all that but instead it was something that is intended for actual reading... It just has bolded made up frat words. Still it does have the power to spark up a conversation and that is half the reason I bought it.

the book was not what I expected, but that was my bad probably. I was looking for the bro code by Barney from How I Met Your Mother and this brocabulary came up (deceiving). I had to return it :(

its just ok, i like reading it from time to time and looking up stuf fin it. but i feel this book would be good for college students or stoners more than anything else

This book was alright, it pails in comparison to the bro code and the playbook, but it is still fun to read

Its one of those "must leave on the toilet tank lid" books for men! Just be sure your under 12-year-old doesn't use that toilet or you may have some interesting questions and conversations!

I bought this after buyer the bro code and the playbook. Although this is not an official How I Met Your Mother product it is excellent. The book is very funny and worth a read.

Fab book - teenage son idolises Barney Stinson! So this book and the others available were the perfect gift for him! They raised a snigger on Christmas morning!

Es ist recht amüsant an einigen stellen und für einen Bro und Fan von Barney Stinson schon sehr gut, aber auf Dauer wird es sehr langweilig zu lesen, weil es wirklich nur eine Sammlung von Vokabeln ist. Da war ich schon enttäuscht, als ich den "Bro Code" und das "Playbook" durch hatte und mich dann an dieses Werk machte. Also nur für eingefleischte Fans zu empfehlen, um die Sammlung zu komplettieren.
