To me, these are cosmetically appealing. And because they have tops, you never have to worry about them spilling out. A bit inconvenient when you need to use them as you have to take off the tops first. But that's a price I am willing to pay to keep my counter top and table clean. Not to mention they sit upright which makes spills more difficult. Additionally, you can adjust how coarse or fine grained you want your salt or pepper. I really liked that feature. Also, they are very easy to fill-up.

No peper pieces on my counter!!
I love these. My old peper grinder got peper all over my counter. These are awesome because they stand with the grinder up AND have a lid so the top stays clean. The color isn't awesome, that's why I gave it 4 stars, it's a blah tanish/gray. I put pink salt in one and it's very pretty on my counter. I'm very happy with my purchase.

Beautiful
This was a gift I bought for my mother for Christmas. I wish I had bought two because when I received it they were absolutely beautiful. Very classy looking. She has been using it regularly and hasn't had any issues with them.

Excellent grind options (true superfine grind in both salt and pepper, these hit the mark), large capacity, really nice appearance. Great purchase, love Amazon Prime, company sent me contact info should I have any issues down the road. Five out of five stars.
