Charge Master Automatic Battery 16 amp Charger

Not a bad charger, but it has not impressed me as being worth the money. I purchased this for my business, as a testto determine if an area we are think of going into was feasible. From what I have seen so far it is a charger with three settings.I have attempted to use the "rejuvenation" and "equalization" modes but have not been able to quantitatively measure anychange and because of that at this point in time consider it a overpriced glorified battery charger. I reached out to themanufacture via their website's email contact information almost four weeks ago with technical questions and the questionsabout possible availability of commercial grade units and have never received a response.

I have had this charger now for about 6 months and I am pleased with it. It does what it says it is supposed to do. Kinda pricey though.

This is a high quality charger with good heavy duty connections. The unit uses Anderson connectors so you can swap out the two different connectors.The unit is a bit larger than it looks in the picture. It also has a computer controlled cooling fan that runs only as needed and is quiet when running.It has good flexibility as to what charge rate and which type of battery to charge. It also holds your last settings for the next use.You can use the equalization setting to equalize the cells. The unit has a timer for the equalization charge.The unit is light weight since it is a switching power supply and safely charges your batteries as advertised.Some might think this charger is a bit high priced, but if you shop around you are really getting a lot for your dollar with this charger.And of course Amazon sells this unit at a very competitive price point.I would definitely recommend this charger for you charging and maintenance needs.Very fast shipping and well packaged.

Used less than 1/2 dozen times, after 10 months, just quit when charging a battery. Still under warranty if I can get a hold of someone, phone extensions take you to different departments, left various messages. Seems like Schauer is now under Brookwood Group, apparently some conglomerate. Had a few Schauer Products which were very reliable, like many take-overs things change.

I have had this charger for almost a month. I brought back to life a deep cycle 12volt battery that I have had sitting in my garage for 8 years. It took a little longer to desulfat than I had expected. But to bring a battery back to life of this value paid for the charger on my first go around.I now have it on a new motorhome battery that was discharged from sitting for almost a year. I expect to fully rejuvinate it as well. I am very happy with this charger.

This small compacted and easy to use.The instruction are easy to understand and use.Why so many worked needed for comments.

I have a first generation (purchased about 2 years ago) of this Chargemaster bearing the same model number (0757-15)but the case size and input and output wiring has been updated. I am not sure if the electronics have been updated but my review is based upon the unit I bought online from Schauer directly or from their approved website. This unit is a winner because it encompasses really smart and intelligent features you might expect from a professional auto industry approved charger you would expect to pay hundreds of dollars more for. Everything is modern about this unit. It incorporates switching regulator power supply technology (just like what powers all desktop and laptop computers) which means high super-sonic pulsed rectified/filtered output plus very light weight transformers capable of high current of 16 amps. I have used this unit to bring back batteries that were fully discharged quite successfully as this unit knows what to do and how to regulate the charge to never stress the battery plates as it builds a full charge back into the battery. If the battery to be charged is shot and no longer cabable of accepting a charge this unit will reveal that fact in short order so you do not waist your time thinking you can charge the battery successfully. Some chargers are not the best for charging when installed in a vehicle because of noise that can enter the cars computers. I found absolutely no problems with this charger using it while running any car accessories and onboard computer systems while the charger was online charging the car's battery. With it's 16 amp capacity the amount of time time to charge a severely depleted battery is reduced considerably. I think in the near future most all battery chargers will move to this technology and Schauer seems to be the first that I know of offering this in an affordable price range. I think Schauer offers a more ruggedized model of this charger technology that I plan to reccomend to my employer for their fleet vehicle service. For home non professional use I believe this charger offers the best technology at the best price.
