Pukka Organic Green, Serene Jasmine Tea, 20 Tea Bags (Pack of 6)

Serene Jasmine Green is delightful. This was my first time having a package of green tea blended with an herbal infusion. The balance is perfect for an afternoon or evening cuppa as it is calming with its warmth and taste. Opening the package reveals a light scent of chamomile. As I drank the tea, I was able to taste lavender with a hint of jasmine. The name for the tea is deceptive in that I expected more of a jasmine flavor. While I was disappointed that I still haven't been able to find a good brand of jasmine tea in anything other than loose leaf, I was not disappointed at all in the overall flavor. All of the flavors of jasmine green tea, chamomile, and lavender are subtle and delicious. I do look forward to trying more teas by Pukka as I appreciate the effort toward using organic products and environmentally friendly packaging.

This tea has a mild, balanced flavor going in, which is quite impressive-- of the jasmine, chamomile, and lavender, no flavor dominates the others, and all work well with the flavor of the green tea. My only complaint is what I call the "essence of dirt" aftertaste, which is too often the case with green tea. Overall, if I could give this 3.5 stars, I would.

I was fortunate to receive a sample of Pukka Organic green tea with Jasmine. I am a skeptic when it comes to green teas and adding any flavors to it. I loved this tea! It had a nice robust flavor that was not super strong. I usually add a ton of sugar to my tea, but with this one only a hint of sugar was needed. It had the jasmine flavor but when it was combined with the chamomile I fell in love with it. I will be buying this tea!

Public service announcement: if you're looking for a pure, plain Jasmine, this isn't it. But if you want a relaxing herbal-green tea hybrid which has the subtle flavor of green tea and soothing herbal notes, Serene Jasmine is it. I love this tea any time of the day, though it doesn't quite deliver the caffeinated punch I need in the morning. It's perfect for late morning, noon and afternoon sipping.
