I bought this gel pad for my saddle seat because I have been having some nerve pain in my back and I've been getting a little saddle sore. We usually go on long trail rides (5 miles or more) and I needed something to cushion the pressure on the pressure points of my butt.😁 My saddle has a 14 inch seat and this pad fits really good. It hooks onto the horn of the saddle with a nylon loop strap and across the cantle of the saddle with a nylon stretchy strap, so it could easily fit different sizes of saddles. It can be taken off and on easily. I've ridden with it on really hot days and it hasn't gotten too hot for comfort. Haven't ridden in the Winter with it yet so I'll let you know how comfortable it is for Winter riding. So far I love it. It's helped me to not get saddle sore on our long rides. The only drawback I have is that it does slide in the seat a tiny bit but nothing that would bother me or make me hate it. It has helped me to have the comfort that I need to keep my back and my hips from acting up on me. I give it two thumbs way up. I LOVE it. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who rides a lot. Adding to my earlier review (4-6-23) I have used this pad on my saddle for over a year now and I still love it. I tie the back nylon stretchy strap (cantle strap) down with my saddle strings so it doesn’t slip around. This pad has really saved me from my nerve pain in my hip and back. I will not ride without it anymore. Awesome pad! Edited 2-16-24: I’ve had this nice seat pad for 3 years now and it has finally wore out on me. First the stretchy strap broke and now the gel pad inside the seat detached from its plastic covering and got a bunch of wrinkles in it that were hard to flatten out. I suppose I could put a new plastic covering on the gel and sew on a new stretchy strap but we’ll see. Just wanted to let you all know that I’ve rode on this gel pad quite a bit and it’s pretty wore out. It really saved my hind end though and kept me from pinching a nerve again so for that I am grateful! I would still give it 4 stars even though it has lasted only 3 years.

Been a cowgirl for 29 years. After multiple car wrecks and horse accidents sitting in the saddle for over an hour became unbearable. The gel design and impact cushioning action of this product improved my comfort in the saddle. Now I can ride my 3 hour trails again. This product really is a back saver.

I’m going to update after a few more rides, but do far I’m liking this pad. I’m using it on an old cordura hard as rock seat saddle, and I’ve ridden in it twice so far. 4 1/2 hr. ride was much better with the pad. I might should have gotten it a tad thicker, but we will see. My only concern is the edge seams kinda hit my thighs in a weird way, but I’m betting once I break it in, I won’t notice so much. Hasn’t caused chafing, so that’s a good thing. If I could change anything, it would be to make it go longer on the sides.

This works very well on my saddle. Helps absorb the trot movement if not posting. My saddle is well worn and I’m not wanting to buy a new one at this time. Works great!

I like this saddle seat pad it just needs to be more a little bit more thick. It dont slip and fits my saddle prefect.

Has worked well for me. My saddle has a seat as hard as a rock--that's why I got it from a lady cheap. I've used this for over 3 years now & am very happy with it. I am careful not to put extra strain on it when mounting and dismounting so as to not wear out the straps. I had a friend whose similar pad had straps that wore out. So far mine is fine. I recommend it.

I tried this product on three different saddles and on none did the strap stay in place. Each time the cushion had to be tied down. The gel pad is so thin it offers no real advantage in comfort. As I was looking for a more comfortable experience, this cushion was a waste of money and effort. I loaned it to a friend who was considering purchasing this cushion. She too felt that it offered no advantage and is sticking with her 12$ wool cushion.***Update ***I have been borrowing a very hard saddle from a friend and decided to pull this out of the closet to give it another go. Well, the third day of using it, while posting at the trot , it slips in the saddle I fall off and broke my arm. It now resides in the garbage instead of the closet. Wish I could turn back the clock and never purchase this item.

Good product. I love wish it was a little thicker as I have a boney butt. Fits great on a western saddle and stays in place very well. Quality product.

Great idea, maybe because l have a older Western Saddle it didnt hold too well, it slipped at the back , did think of attaching clips to the side rings of my saddle or returning . Did find the service very good from Amazon.
