Great for tunes while swimming laps
I recently began swimming laps for exercise. I have always listened to music when working out and was frustrated by the need to leave my usual earbuds in my gym bag while in the pool. This MP3 player solves that problem. At first I thought waterproof bluetooth earbuds would be the best choice for me but it turns out bluetooth doesn't transmit well under water. I gave this MP3 player a try and am very happy with it. The sound quality from it while in the water is not as good as what you'd get from high quality non-waterproof earbuds but it is still pretty good- amazing considering The MP3 player pops out of the back of the headband and then plugs into a USB port to be loaded. Loading it with music just required dragging and dropping the songs I wanted onto the icon for the MP3 player. I swim 45-60 minutes per day, 5-6 days/week and have gone 2-3 weeks without charging this. I've never had the battery die on it so I don't know how many hours of play you could get out of it before needing to charge it. I have a fairly big head but this fits comfortably. It does not interfere with the straps for my goggles and controlling it while wearing it is easy as the volume, pause/play, and rewind/fast forward buttons are intuitively placed. The earbuds do get a bit warm in your ears while using this, but not uncomfortably so. The wire from the headband to the earbuds does seem somewhat fragile, so I am careful about never pulling the headband off my head by the wires or pulling the earbuds out of my ears by the wires. I know others reviewing this have found those wires to be a failure point. I'll update this review if that is ever an issue for me.

Loved it ... but 2 of them have failed after a few months each
This player was amazing at first ... easy to wear in the pool, simple to use, long battery life, great sound even underwater. But after a few months it seemed to develop a loose connection. The sound would cut out, sometimes entirely or sometimes only on 1 side. Wiggling / re-seating the player sometimes could temporarily fix it but it would happen again soon. It was difficult to contact Tayogo, but eventually I got in touch with them and they sent me a new player. Great! I figured I just got a bad one. I used the new one for a couple of months and it worked fine ... then one day when I went to load more music on it, the USB connector physically snapped off. As much as I love the design and sound of this player, I have to conclude it's basically a piece of junk. This is not a quality item. There are a number of waterproof mp3 players that cost substantially more than this one, and I guess there is a reason for that. If you want one that lasts more than 2 or 3 months you might have to shell out for one that's better made.

14 months of use - here's the review
I received this as a Christmas gift in December 2017. I started using it in early January 2018. Here's what happened. Early months: was pleased at how easy it is to add or remove music - just drag and drop (on Windows, anyway). I use the largest/longest ear buds. They would fall out once in a while, but overall stayed in pretty well. They don't completely block the water as really good earplugs do, but fairly close. I found that not pulling my swim cap over the ears was better, since swim cap movement tends to pull the buds out of my ears. First issues about 6 months in: at this point the ear bud pieces would come off the studs fairly easily. They just no longer gripped. I experimented a bit, and found that Liquid Nails was a good solution. See photo. By applying Liquid Nails to the seam where the ear buds went on the studs, they stopped coming off. Totally stopped. Never have had one come off since. I reapplied a thin layer of Liquid Nails about every month or two just to be sure. At 13 months I ran an experiment of not charging them to see how long they would go. I was somewhat shocked as I swam 18 times before the battery died mid-swim. Approximately 15-16 hours of use time on a single charge for the 13-month-old device. I'll take it. At 14 months, I lost sound in the right ear when the thin wire leading out of the yellow plastic frayed. It hasn't completely broken off, but it might as well. In retrospect, this thin connecting space is another place where a bit of liquid nails might have paid off - before the wire was damaged. The sound is okay (for me, not an audiophile), but nothing is going to be great while splashing around in the pool. I find that the music really helps me keep going while lap swimming. I swim laps on average 4 days a week, usually a little less than an hour, so probably 3 hours per week, on average. So, during the 14 months of use, I probably swam for about 180 hours. So, was it worth the price I paid? Yes, I would say so. Nothing like this will last forever. I feel like I got pretty good value out of these things. Guess I need another one.

The best affordable headset I've found for swimming
This is my second one of these, the first one lasted a couple of years and then the wires to the ear buds started wearing out and I lost sound to the left ear. But still, a couple of years of swimming 1-3x/week is a good run for a headset, so I bought a second one. The earbuds on this model have been improved over the first one so they fit better and it's easier to keep the water out. Battery life is great, I only have to charge it like once a month for around 10 hours of play time (at least). I once tried a bluetooth headset for swimming and rapidly found out that they work poorly in the water because it interferes with the bluetooth signal, so the MP3 player style like this one was a must. The MP3 player is very easy to use -- just plug it into USB like a memory stick and drag and drop. The one thing to watch out for is that the ear bud covers can slip off, especially if you use it in the pool where everything is wet. I recommend gluing them on once you find out which size works best for you. I did that with my first one and they were great after that. I didn't do it quickly enough on this one, and lost one of the covers nearly immediately, but I wrote to the company and they provided excellent customer service and are sending me new ones. Overall it's much better to swim with tunes than without, and I'm happy that this headset lets me do that with a minimum of hassle and expense.

Man(n) verschenkt ja keinen Schrott. Also erst einmal Stöpsel aufgezogen.

I'd been searching for an IPX8 waterproof MP3 player for a while. I tried a bone conduction set that turned out NOT to be waterproof and another one that while waterproof sounded tinny. Both were returned. Others, while looking great on paper were outside of my gadget budget. I was attracted to the Tayogo because of the price but also because it was advertised as being waterproof AND appropriate for swimming. I swim 10+ km per week and wanted a device to help me focus while motivating me. When I received the Tayogo (in Yellow - white and black are also available) it was a very simple process to plug the device into a USB port, charge it and import (up to 8 GB) of music into it. Using the device is easy, with the play/pause button being the power on/off button. I found it easiest to set the volume in advance vs fiddling with it in the water. You may notice the sound is a little tinny when using the device out of the water. Don't be concerned. Once in the water, the bass tones are enhanced. With the water earplugs installed ambient noise is greatly diminished. When not listening to music, the only sounds to be heard are water noises and breathing. Shuffle is the default setting. If, like me you want to listen to songs in a particular order you'll need to organize them prior to porting the music over. You can then select play in order by pressing the down volume button for 3 seconds. I ended up numbering the songs in a sequence suitable for warm up, cruising and cool down. A couple of cautions. One, if you're wearing a mask and snorkel put the device on LAST and remove it FIRST when done otherwise you risk damaging the wires connected to the earbuds. The second is to make sure you don't flex the frame inward while in the water. You can pop the device out of the frame, something you don't want to do in the water. In terms of durability, the device's play and standby times are as advertised. I wore it in the pool for 5 hours and the device performed flawlessly. I didn’t use it for 4 days and the device was still useable. Regarding functionality, it can be tricky reaching behind one's head to operate the device but eventually becomes 2nd nature. Overall, the device is well worth the price.

This is the Best Buy ever, no more boring length after length, I’ve got music to improve my workout, I swim fast front crawl, and this headset has not hindered my speed at all, just makes me faster due to my tunes, I wore the band at the back of my head, like my goggles, then put goggles over and they did not interfere with each equipment, sound is great, fit easy into my ears and didn’t come out once, the charge lasts ages too, I also run and have gone through many many headphones, with problems with most of them, but these I have to say are perfect, hence my review as feel I’d like others to wear them and see for themselves, easy to load music on to as well, although my son in law did this for me, I could see it was easy to do. If you like swimming lengths after lengths these are so worth buying !!!!
