Met My High Expectations
I travel a great deal, and have been looking for an aluminum option that meets my needs and doesn't break the bank (cough, Tumi, Aleon, cough, cough). I also have pet peeves on how the various manufacturers chose to divide up the inside space. I don't want clumsy or cumbersome dividers. I basically want an open "clamshell" with something to hold the contents in place. I also wanted good looks, solid construction (which leaves out the low-end "aluminum" options), and good locks. LEVEL8 hits all the marks. It is a *solid*, good-looking case that rolls easily and holds enough "stuff" for 3-4 days. I just returned from a three day trip, and packed a suit jacket, two pairs of pants, three shirts, and the assorted travel debris that goes with any trip. The "dividers" that are simply flat sheets that cover/contain the clothes in each half, and even those can be removed. And, if you're interested in this case, watch the ad on Amazon closely. As I write this, the sliver version (which I have) is $440 and the dark grey (also attractive) one is $396. What I bought mine last month, the silver one was $387 and the dark grey one was $440. The point is the price tends to fluctuate. This is a great suitcase, and you can't go wrong if you're looking for an aluminum carry-on.

✨Level8 🧳 is now my new favorite brand!
I was torn between Away’s aluminum carry-on and this, but ultimately decided to go with Level8. 💯% do not regret my choice! I preferred the sleeker design of the Gibraltar and, most importantly, the price. In my opinion, you get a lot for what it costs. Recently took this bad boy with me on vacation. Perfect size for me to pack a week’s worth of clothes and toiletries. For some reason, my luggage got flagged by TSA. After the agent looked through and cleared it, he told me “this is the most organized luggage I’ve ever seen.” 😂 Unexpected but welcome compliment. The wheels glide and turn so smoothly walking through the airport with it. I’m also a very petite woman (5”2’ and 105 pounds) and it was lightweight enough that I was able to easily pick it up and stow it in the overhead bin on the plane. 💪 Though it has gotten pretty scratched up after just that one trip, I don’t mind and expected some wear and tear to happen. Still I feel pretty confident that the quality is excellent enough to last me a long time and through a lot more trips! ✈️ Can’t wait for all the “patina” to set in and give it some character.

Quality product that's going to show the more it's used.
Very easy to maneuver, rather stylish and large enough for a long weekends worth of clothes. The packing cubes were a plus. Even carry-on is going to get scratched and dented.

Well worth the price!
I recently went on a month long trip with only this bag and could not have been happier. It looks and feels like a quality bag. The wheels roll easily and make it easy to walk especially when many times I had to go nearly a mile or more to reach my final destination. I was constantly on subways, trains, taxis and roads and this bag was sturdy and easy to use throughout… I could not have asked for a better bag for my trip!

Heavily used and Damaged upon delivery.
Showed up boxed and definitely been heavily used, scratched and dented all over the luggage. See photos. Luggage has been destroyed. Unacceptable for $450.

Great Carry On Luggage
Well made product and well worth the price I paid. The wheels roll very easy making it nice when you have other luggage to handle at the same time. If you’re looking for a good carry on this is what you want to go with other carry on luggage along with it.

Better than expected.
As with some Amazon products that are made in China, the quality can be a crapshoot. I needed a new carry-on for an upcoming trip and I guess I have not shopped for luggage since pre-Covid. The carry-on version of my Tumi aluminum check-in had risen in price to exceed the cost that I paid for the larger version. I figured I would check Rimowa since Tumi prices were outrageous, and unfortunately Rimowa also increased their prices. The percentage increase was smaller but still a lot to pay for luggage. I rolled the dice and ordered this on Amazon, and I have to say that I am pleasantly surprised by the quality. It's does not feel as durable as the Tumi and Rimowa comparables, but it is well made and lightweight. I waited until after my trip to post this review to see if there are any negatives, but I have no complaints about the quality or functionality of this item. I would definitely recommend this as an alternative to the alunminum Tumi and Rimowa carry-ons.

Changed my whole attitude about traveling....
For weeks I keept looking for the perfect spinner carry on solution for my bi-weekly travels to Costa Rica. I am in my late 70s, but in good shape and very mobile. I reviewed all the brands on Amazon, and could not make up my mind, so I went directly to the Tumi store and looked through all of the expensive roller carry ons and their $1,400 aluminum model looked grand, if not perfect. But, it was very heavy. I went back to the drawing board and decided on LEVEL 8 brand to experiment and I could not decide on the Gibratar or their cloth version of the same, so I bought both of them planning on giving one of them to my wife, keeping the one I might like the most. The Gilbratar was so accommodating for me, it changed my dread of traveling in and out of Terminal C, which features Olympic walks throughout. The weight of the luggage when filled added stability to the handles and the wheels, rolled smooth as silk, and gave the added advantage of stabilizing my walk through the long hallways of the terminal. Game changer, and 1/3 the cost of the Tumi alternative. Beautiful case, strong, precise wheeling, and just perfect. None of the reviews clocked this perfect piece of short term travel baggage even close.

I’ve used this suitcase for several trips now - and it’s excellent. Slides around and over anything with ease. Nice details on interior with mesh closure on one side. The included packing cubes work well too! And it fits in Air Canada size carry on. Which is the smallest of any airline.
