Helps reduce heebie jeebies in sex talks
In our family, we try to talk about sex in an open, matter of fact way within a biblical framework. Inside I'm having the screaming heebie jeebies, but on the outside I'm mostly calm. I think most parents can relate! This book series has been quite useful for my husband and I as we discuss with our children the differences between boys and girls' bodies, puberty, intimacy, birth control and so on. I've found the books for each age range to be age appropriate. While the books aren't a substitute for actually talking with your children, they are a very helpful when my kids have questions for which I haven't thought of good answers. It's a Christian-based series, with scriptural references and sample prayers to help kids.

Too much information.
Too detailed. It’s okay for youth to know the truth as God has ordained sex to be. But we don’t have to plant too much information into their heads.

Not appropriate for young teens
This book is described as being appropriate for girls as young as 14. As a Christian mom I was shocked that focus on the family thought this was the age at which girls should start dating! Yes, they are attracted to boys at that age, but to encourage a boyfriend-girlfriend relationship that young is just asking for trouble. I do not recommend this book.

Biased, promotes bad views of women equality & birth control
Wow, this book explains that feminism and birth control = putting women against men!!! WHAT???? Wanting equality and having birth control IN NO WAY means putting women against men. How dumb is this assumption???This book also continuously assumes that the reader is exhausted by church talk and the reader is trying to push away from the church. Why on earth is this assumed all the way throughout the book? What about kids who don't hate the church? Kids who didn't grow up in church? It's almost as though the author is trying to create a tension. This book is too much. Find another read.
