Blended specifically for drinking, baking and culinary purposes Great for smoothies, lattes, and other blended drinks. A healthy addition to any dish or recipe. PaleoCrazy's USDS certified Organic Cooking Grade Matcha is specifically blended a good cooking grade Matcha that has a stronger tea flavor than a regular drinking grade. This allows the Matcha flavor to shine though even if mixed with other ingredients. Our antioxidant richPremium Tea is grown and produced in Nishio city in Aichi prefecture. Nishio has been known the world over as the home of the finest Matcha for more than 800 years. Typically, Matcha is the only tea variety that is ground into a fine powder form for a reason. When healthily drinking Matcha or enjoying a food or beverage made from Matcha - you consume the entire tea leaf. This is the primary difference between Matcha and all other tea. Normally black tea or other green teas are consumed via steeping the tea leaves infused with hot water. Most importantly, Matcha drinkers receive the full nutrition benefits of the whole tea leaf and will enjoy the high concentration of green tea antioxidants, amino acids, vitamins, minerals and fiber. Matcha is extremely rich in 3 very important nutrients that are of high interest for healthier lifestyle living: Insoluble Fibers, Antioxidants, and L-Theanines. Each 100g (3.5oz) bag is good for a number of recipes.

Culinary grade Japanese Matcha
Although I would say Matcha is an acquired taste it is one of my favorite teas. This particular brand of Matcha is culinary grade which is usually best suited for mixing such as into smoothies, or baking more than it is for drinking. Although culinary grade is suitable for drinking on its own it normally is not as good tasting as the more expensive supreme or ceremonial grades of Matcha. This Matcha comes in a re-sealable package with some basic directions and a description indicating this is Japanese origin Matcha. The better quality Matcha tends to be grown in Japan. The brewing directions indicate using 1 teaspoon Matcha for an 8 ounce cup. In my opinion, unless you really like a strong tea, I really think that is too much Matcha powder to use. I personally use a tip of a teaspoon with 16 ounces or water to make my Matcha and it is perfectly fine for me.This Matcha has a nice green color and smells fresh and smells like what you expect Matcha to smell like. There are various recipes for making Matcha tea with some of those recipes being a bit more complex than others. For me, I use a little less time consuming way that works for me. I pour hot water into the large cup (usually 16 ounces) and then add a small amount of Matcha, about a quarter of a teaspoon. I then add some frothed milk along with some sugar and then mix together. With Matcha, the more you use, the more bitter it tends to be. Premium grades tend to be smoother in taste than the culinary grades in that respect. Also, if you use too much, the tea will taste sandy or powdery. Of course, everyone’s taste is different so if you are new to using Matcha, you have to find the appropriate amount to your taste. As a tea this tastes about what an average culinary grade of Matcha tastes. Although I don’t think this is as good or as smooth as the supreme or ceremonial grades and is better suited for mixing or baking, this does taste about what an average culinary Matcha should taste like. It this brand my favorite Matcha, no, but this does taste fine as a tea to me. Considering the price (currently 15 dollars), which is cheaper than most culinary grades, this is a good culinary grade for the price.4 starsI was provided a sample for review and I do not promise a good rating in return, nor am I affiliated with this company or compensated.

A Great Purchase for a Sustained Sense of Well-being
I have ordered PaleoCrazy Organic Matcha Powder several times, and have been perfectly satisfied with each purchase. I've even shared "samples" with friends because I love it so much. Then over the Holidays I decided to take advantage of a Lightening Deal for another Matcha Tea. What a mistake! I didn't know how great PaleoCrazy was until I compared it with another brand. PaleoCrazy Matcha is a vibrant green with a smooth flavor. It dissolves easily in liquid, and gives me a sustained sense of well-being. The Lightening Deal Matcha was a dull green/grey, chalky, and added a slight bitter taste to any fruit juice I used. The only thing I felt was a sustained sense of disappointment.PaleoCrazy is my go-to Matcha from here on out. I hope you learn from my mistake!

Has a very "earthy" and "grassy" taste that you get used to pretty quick. I'm not drinking this stuff for the taste I'll tell you that, but for the health benefits. I do NOT get a flu shot anymore as they were having a profound affect on my immune system and actually making me more susceptible to viral infections. As an alternative, I take advantage of natural preventative measures, this tea being one and it's like a big shield of defense against viruses, bacteria, etc. I went for 3 years without so much as a cold and I will attest to this day that it was because I was a broke college student at the time and went without insurance those years and I drank green tea daily, in conjunction with a good diet. Heed the advice, see if it works and try to avoid pumping nasty chemicals and pharmaceuticals into your body, they're not natural. Hope this review helps somebody out there! Here's to good health! =)

Yummy, Fresh and Authentic!
If you like Matcha tea or would like to try it, this is a good one! It's organic and truly Japanese - the package even has opening instructions in Japanese language. Matcha comes in a fine powder, so you add a teaspoon to a cup and brew with hot water. Due to its fine grind, you must whisk or stir it vigorously after adding water - or add a little water to make a paste first. I used water at 195 deg right out of our hot water dispenser and it was perfect. The Matcha flavor is up front and it tastes wonderful with a little milk and/or sugar added too. The package says that it contains caffeine but it is not a strong dose, not quite the kick of coffee like most teas. I enjoyed the quality of this product and the freshness and flavor! It also stays fresh in its foil-lined package. Matcha appreciated!Update: okay, spoke too soon. It's got quite a caffeine kick too! :)

Beautiful Color, Rather Bitter Taste
The color is a beautiful, bright green, so I thought it would follow that this matcha would taste better than the one I buy locally, but it's rather bitter in comparison. To be fair, this was advertised for "culinary/drinking" purposes, and I am sure it compares well to other such matchas in this category. The one I buy locally isn't as green, but has a milder flavor. It is also not ceremonial grade, as well as being Japanese and organic. I am very pleased with the fair cost of Paleo Green's Matcha Tea, and will certainly drink it, but perhaps using less with each serving will help to lesson the bitterness. It arrived quickly and I am very pleased with SalsaCrazy Inc., and would definitely recommend ordering from them :)

Great As All Reviews Claimed...Pick This One
I read many other reviews and chose this Matcha Tea product because of the high reviews. They were correct as far as I can tell. This is a very smooth powder that didn't clump and I could barely taste a difference when I added it to my cold green tea that I normally drink. It shipped extremely fast and I like that the green tea ingredient it is actually from Japan. I would recommend if trying for the first time as I was not disappointed at all and look forward to the health benefits it is claimed to provide.
