After researching so many toilet seats, this one stood out! This is now the second one from Mayfair that I have purchased for my other bathroom, as the prior seat proved to be of excellent quality! I had evaluated plastic ones however most of the lids and seats seemed too flimsy/lightweight, and not substantial. I did have a plastic one in another bathroom, the lid was pretty thin and it took forever to close, therefore I elected to buy these (2) solid wooden ones - one being elongated, the other round and made by this highly rated manufacturer! Both were installed quickly (such a simple process)! I love the feature where the seats will never be able to loosen and that these seats can slide out for thorough cleaning! They are of excellent construction, finish and design, the soft close lids go down at a very good pace, and the seats feel much more solid, stable and secure. The pricing on them proved to be of great value, as other manufacturers had higher prices on less than comparable units! It is so obvious that these Mayfair toilet seats were built to last! I highly recommend, as a very satisfied buyer!!

Wonderful build quality, very sturdy and solid. The finish feels premium. Installation was an absolute breeze, and it feels absolutely locked in. Fits my toilet like it was custom made for it. The slow close function is especially nice for a reasonably heavy wooden seat, never have to worry about banging the seat when closing the lid again.

I've bought 6 of these now and plan to do so in the future. Buyers should be aware that the hinge will break in 4 to 5 years. This is the only week point in the design. Replacing is super easy with the pop up lid and slide attachment. New install requires hand tightening the quick release bracket. Really easy to clean around the hinges as well.

The seat was easy to install and will not come loose. It’s so much better. It feels solid when you sit on the Satan, the seat doesn’t slip!

This isn't easy to report succinctly, but I'll try. First, I had problems with my purchase two times, and the third effort resulted in the company insulting me with the worst customer service I've ever experienced in my nearly 80 years on this planet. My home is 17 years old, and the builder put plastic Bemis toilet seats in both bathrooms. I replaced two broken Bemis toilet seats with new plastic toilet seats before I decided to put wooden Bemis toilet seats in both bathrooms when the third plastic one broke. For what it's worth, this collective experience is the first time I have ever needed to replace a toilet seat. I ordered a new wooden Bemis toilet seat because one of the existing wooden seat's hinges broke. Remember, I have needed to buy four new toilet seats for this home, and my wife and I are not large. The first new one arrived with a large paint chip missing on the front of the seat, which of course made it unsightly. Amazon was excellent in sending me a replacement right away. Believe it or not, the second one arrived with a smaller paint chip on the front of the seat. After having already received a replacement, Amazon wouldn't have anything to do with replacing the product a second time. As an aside, I was disappointed that we users can no longer find a telephone number with which to contact Amazon. The company provided a telephone number to contact the manufacturer of the Bemis toilet seat, but that was the best I could do. I called the manufacturer, Bemis, and the lady I talked with said she would send a replacement and would instruct the shipping department to visually inspect the entire seat and lid looking for missing paint. The new seat arrived four business days later, and what I saw when I opened the box was nothing short of shocking. The outer box was not damaged in any way. The inner box containing the new toilet seat was in pristine condition. What I found inside this box was a toilet seat with one of the hinges sitting on top of the seat along with the usual hardware in a plastic bag, and the product was 100 percent unusable. Worse, the lid for the toilet seat was broken into two large pieces, and that took some power to accomplish. This product had clearly been sabotaged, I'd say especially for me, for whatever reason the reader wants to guess. A complete insult! I have eaten the loss and replaced it with a toilet seat from a different manufacturer, will never again purchase a product made by or sold by Bemis, and recommend that any reader considering the purchase of any of this company's products rethink the purchase and buy from another manufacturer. It might save you much frustration, but regardless, a company that will do this to a customer doesn't deserve to stay in business.

Love this addition to our regular toilet. Always wanted a bidet and now I have one! Super easy to install and use. What a great idea.

I love this slow close toilet seat. We bought one for our last house then bought two more for the new house when we moved. They're great quality and don't break. I clean mine with lysol wipes then wipe the lysol off with paper towels. Would absolutely recommend.

It's all about the fit. Make sure you measure accurately. This toilet seat is solid and closes slowly and silently and looks good.

I bought it 9 months ago and the pain just comes off. Looks poor. I’m dissatisfied with it. I don’t recommend it.
