Just okay. Not for really bad mats.
It worked OK for basic mats but was not helpful on really deep ones for my long haired cat. May have been just too much for the powder which may have worked better if they weren't as bad. Was really hoping to find something to help my kitty but in the end we wound up shaving off the mats.

Pet Grooming Powder for long hair cats- mat remover that works!
Excellent product, but a very small container. Looses the mats and you work the mats out with this product.
