Well worth the wait. Worked perfectly with my g75v laptop from 2012. Easy to assemble arrived promptly. Only minor thing was the cord to insert into the block was a little tight on first arrival and had to use force. Otherwise well worth it.

After four months the charger shorted, MELTED THE "SAFETY LINING" ON THE CORD, caught a throw blanket on fire, and had I not noticed it immediately (due to the smell of fumes from the melting lining), could have burned my apartment down.

To start, the cable that inserts into the charging box was so loose that it was constantly falling out. We were willing to tolerate it because not having a charger doesn't work well in a gaming household. However, yesterday we heard an odd buzzing sound and started to smell an awful burning plastic odor. One of the pins inside the box has a melted base, making the charger completely unusable even if I trusted it not to catch fire. This charger is a hazard and I urge people to think twice about buying it.

Pros: it charged my laptopCons: we didn't move it around much and the connector protective tubing is already coming out of it and already not charging my laptop. Back to square 1 with ordering a replacement but this time I'll order one that has my laptop brand on it (Asus). Not "replacement..."

Packing wasn't the greatest, the box wasn't even taped closed.
