The five stars says it all. For a couple of years, I had been looking for stomach support of my parastomal hernia. I had tried ALL the ones recommended by stoma nurses and others, all to no real comfort. I saw the Armstrong America Umbilical Hernia Belt on Amazon and considered it. I read through most of the reviews and thought it looked like it could do the job needed... give support and be comfortable to wear. So, I ordered one. It arrived next day (Prime account customer) and I gave it a thorough 'look-over' before attempting to try it on. After the initial 'discomfort' of having something tight around my midriff again, I soon noticed how easy it felt to have it on. After a slight adjustment (velcro resting/rubbing on bare skin) the support and comfort was almost immediate. I decided to wear it for an hour... that 'hour' turned into thirteen (13) hours of absolute comfort and 'discomfort-free' wearing. I almost forgot it was there. The next day, I ordered another in the second colour. yesterday, 27 August 2025 I ordered a third. This allows me to have one on, one drying after washing and the third ready to be worn. Value for money? Yes, without a doubt. Effective? Yes. Durable? Yes again. Fitting? Takes getting used to having the support required with only one item but... yep, it fits like a glove and is very comfortable. (make sure you don't allow those pesky velcro bits rub against your skin) A high recommendation would not give this belt justice. It IS simply the best thing I have ever bought since the surgery that gave me the stoma and hernia. Try it, you will love it.

These are great medical product. If like me Ur a larger build then only down side is the elasticated belt rolls down across Ur back. Also U may need an extra pair of hands to put it on without the velcro bunching up. Although these 2 issues sound bad they are not, the little round pressure disc may take a few tries to get it to sit exactly where U need it, but all above aside it is really comfy to wear n it does work when U are walking really well.

True to size and has alot of support , velcro strong so doesn't pop open

This hernia belt is fantastic to begin with,a life saver,but the Velcro fails with every day use,over about 2 months, hence I have purchased 3, so i decided to repair them, brought some velcro,a few pounds,sewed it on, absolutely perfect!!! I have been wearing the same one for the last 6 months and it's still as strong as ever. If you only need this item for a few months or your handy with a needle, then I would say it is a good buy for you.

This belt has changed my life! Basically, to make a long story short: a couple of years ago I had an accident which resulted in an abdominal hernia. I managed to see a GP who referred me to an NHS specialist (frustratingly, still waiting to be seen), but I was given no advice, support or help; just left to my own devices. My active life basically stopped for a year: I couldn't bend or do anything physical without it triggering the hernia, 'blowing' it up, and causing intense pain. The only way to overcome this was to lie flat on my back for half an hour. I became several depressed and started wishing I was dead (not helped by the pandemic). Eventually, someone told me about them getting a belt to help recover from surgery, so I did a bit of research and came across the product. I bought it last October, and since then, I haven't had a single painful trigger, not one! Basically, it keeps everything in place, where it needs to be, and I have been able to slowly get back to some kind of normal life. OK, maybe very heavy lifting is still not possible, but I have my life back again, and for that I will be eternally grateful. Now, just to get that referral and have the surgery, which in Jan '22 still looks a long way away. The belt is easy to use, very comfortable, and washes very easily by hand. Highly recommended to all in a similar situation. Thank you.

Comfortable but secure for use after surgery

This product was suggested by my Physiotherapist after delivery. This was really comfortable belt compared to the other ones I tried from Amazon. It does give the support it claims and we don't feel the discomfort of wearing a belt, so can be worn throughout a day if required.
