Whirlpool 3370993RB Genuine OEM Silverware Basket For Dishwashers – Replaces 1410887, AH2324425, EA2324425, PS2324425

As usual with apartments the dishwasher is, shall we say, way less than top of the line. Back in the day, dishwashers came with one of these included and I would guess if I was buying my own dishwasher I would discover some still do. OK, enough whining. This basket is great for small items, it hooks over the edge of a rack and the top snaps shut so the items stay inside when the streams of water hit it. I am now able to put the small removable parts of the pump from my pet's water fountain in this basket and let the dishwasher do the work instead of me. I don't really see a purpose to the slanted sides of the basket but it doesn't affect the way I use it. I would rate this as a good buy and worth the price.

Like other reviewers said, this turned out to be a bit narrower than I expected. Internal measurements are about 3" deep (top to bottom) X 8" long (end to end) but, as you can see from the photo of it, the end pieces slope inward at the bottom so the length at the bottom is more like 6". The significant (to me) measurement is front to back - less than 2".I have a dishwasher that's made by Whirlpool. Neither it nor any other diswasher I've ever had requires this odd shape. I can only assume this basket is made to fit the rack of a specific and unusually shaped Whirlpool model rack.The front and back walls of the basket warped inward slightly after a couple of wash cycles. Odd, since it is intended to be in a hot dishwasher specifically, but its ability to lock shut or hold small items isn't affected so I guess you'd call it just a cosmetic problem.I sill like the basket, but I do wish it were about 1" wider and 1" taller.

We needed a small dishwasher basket for small items such as the medicine dispensers for children's medicine, sippy straws, etc. so that they stop falling to the bottom and getting stuck on the heating element. Other baskets that we tried were way too big. This one is perfect, because it can fit anywhere in the dishwasher, and it can be hung up in the side of the top shelf, which still leaves room to put other items (a shallow bowl) under it. This is small, but it's perfect for us. Thank you Whirlpool for saving our dishwasher from small item destruction!!!!

I spent a lot of time trying to make sure it would fit my needs to wash canning lids and rings. unfortunately not a lot of product information listed for this. I took a chance and was surprised just how small this basket is. I understand it was designed to fit between rails in a normal dishwasher but even making it 1 inch longer and 1/2 inch taller would have allowed it to fit my canning lids without interfering with any part of the dishwasher function. In fact they could have added much more in length especially height without any issue, i just needed a medium design and this is tiny.

This is really too small to fit much of anything in. Just bought a new dishwasher, and realized afterwards that there was just no place to put small items like lids, so I got this basket. It's better than nothing, but that's really not a very good recomnmendation. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone to waste their money on. Why can't anybody make something that works better than this? We can't be the only ones with this problem!

I used to have a dishwasher basket that I loved, but it got lost while moving and I wanted another one. I bought this thinking it would replace my old one. It was much smaller than I expected, I could barely get a few travel mug lids in & it was full. I will be looking for something bigger. Two stars because it seems well made, but it's just too small to be really useful.

I bought this to wash pacifiers and sippey cup parts in the dishwasher, and it works perfectly for that purpose. I have even found it useful for washing other small items as well. I'm not sure why it's shaped the way it is, but it doesn't seem to detract from the function. If anything, it allows it to fit into a tighter space in the dishwasher.

It is a small size basket and that tucks nicely into a dishwasher without taking up a big amount of space. Ideal for holding small items. I also like the lid so you don't lose those small items! The plastic is substantial enough to last, I think, a long time.

this fits perfectly at the side of our top rack and we use it for cleaning the tops of our water bottles. Gets them clean and keeps them from flying all over the dishwasher.

I like it great, a little bigger would have been better but it is ok for now. It holds all the littlest things that would otherwise be found at the bottom of the dishwasher.

Works well but openings are still large for finer tools
