Safety 1st 6 Pack Side by Side Cabinet Lock

My cabinet hooks are far apart so these work well for that distance. They snap together pretty easily once you get the settings down, but are VERY DIFFICULT to unlatch. I think these would be fine for areas that don’t get much use at all, but they are a HASSLE to work with on a daily and frequent basis. I also think I must have gotten an old set because they were very dingy whereas another set in the same packaging were not. I like that the zippers can be released for resizing or relocating but the double latch to get into the lock is very stubborn. You have to push one button down and grab another button and squeeze both simultaneously while pulling both pieces apart. They are simple mechanisms, but difficult to deal with in general, but more so when you’re in a hurry. Overall, I have no doubt that the baby locks serve their intended purpose, but are not user-friendly to the adult.

the concept is great until i got these and put them on.the way this lock works, you press and hold the button in the center, then press the button on the bottom, pull each side apart to unlock the lock at the center. upon the first use, I broke nail trying to unlock one of the locks while trying to press the button in the center. basically, right now i'm hearing a lot of complains from everyone using kitchen cabinets because it is so difficult. a person has to apply tremendous amount of pressure with thumb on the center button. i'm still keeping these as i hope with time, the issue will go away (due to plastic fatigue). until then, we're only partially locking these using the bottom button and keeping the center button partially unlocked.in the beginning, my kid forgot about getting into cabinets and was specifically playing with locks themselves which was funny. that allowed sometime for us to get used to locking/unlocking these locks.

Yesss! The joy these gave me as I giggled with delight at the thought of watching my dad try to open these to sneak the kids snacks, and hearing my 4 year old declare that I made him mad becuase I wouldn't show him how to open it, and he wasn't able to figure it out was so worth it. No more sneaky toddler messes, troublesome papas, or worry with these locks. We have tried several locks to keep them out of the cabinets, and these were the first ones that the tot hasn't instantly mastered. Bonus they stay on the cabinet when opened so no "magically" lost locks. You do have to put a little umph into opening.. But honestly that is the point of a child-proof lock 🤷.

First, I am not keeping a child from opening my cupboard doors. I have an over grown kitten that opens them, crawls in, and pushes everything out onto the floor. No more, thanks to these safety locks. He is now frustrated; he knows the locks are the problem, and he has spent every waking moment pawing at them or lying on his back, rattling the doors. The noise is a small price to pay for the security keeping him out! These are excellent locks, a little difficult to open and close--well nigh impossible with one hand, but I am hoping that with use they will loosen up just as another similar type by a different company has, They do the job! That is the important thing.

This is a good option for our cabinets because the other kid with the slide bar comes off to easily. Don't tighten it too tight or its hard to open the lock. SInce I had to leave it a little looser that means the cabinets open a little, which is unfortunately just enough to get little fingers smashed in between. I bought a different brand for my dads house but it was more expensive and we needed several for our kitchen so we bought these because they are cheaper. Overall they work well just a little finicky to use.

My toddler is pretty crafty but she can’t get into these. These are also more practical than some my friends have where you have to remove the entire piece - with these you just unhook and latch it back together when you’re done. It’s made things very simple. My older kids sometimes leave them unlatched and I can hear the pieces banging on the cabinet if my toddler tries to open the door and I immediately run and latch it shut. After it’s latched, she doesn’t try and open the doors because she has learned all the tugging in the world gets her nowhere . None of the 4 we use constantly have broken, all are still in perfect working order after months of use.

This is the perfect option for us as we're renting a home and don't want to damage the cabinets.We have 2 3/4 yr old twins and a 16 month old. I have made sure not to show any of them how to open this yet our oldest twin figured it out in less than 24 hours and has since taught his twin by saying, "push the green triangle, push grey button" and now both can unlock them.Honestly, the first day they were hard for me to in latch so knowing that they can is almost unbelievable. I will continue to use them because they at least give me a headstart and our baby hasn't figured them out yet.

They work as advertised, however these things are incredibly hard to open. Based on the alignment it's difficult getting both tiny buttons depressed. If you need to open the cabinet frequently, I would recommend you look at something else like a magnetic lock.

Use this lock for my mom's wheelchair. Easy to store in the car. The wheelchair won't open up👍🏻🥰Can't find this in Singapore already... lucky my friend told me to search at AMAZON...Love it😍
