Decent system, worth the extra money for the DVD burn feature.
I've had my ups and downs with this system. Overall it was easy to setup and the web interface using the mobile focus app is pretty good. Ive had a little trouble using cheap cameras that I had purchased separately from the system. Changing over to a different brand camera now and we'll see what happens.Also, if you work in retail or any other high shrink job, the DVD feature will be useful when you need it. Way quicker to transfer to a dvd then to transfer to a usb disk.

Hard drive fails frequently
I install camera systems professionally and these devices are notorious for having hard drive failures. Just when you need them the most and look for video you find that the hard drive failed and nothing was recorded. Do not use.

poor support
EverFocus provides the worst support that I have encountered to date. I've contacted support on two different issues, and so far they have failed to provide solutions to either issue. At the same time, they come across as arrogant and rude. I haven't tried their phone support since one technician hung up on me. (Which I notice is now a long distance number rather than toll-free.) Based on the quality of customer care, I would not recommend any product produced by EverFocus.

NO SUPPORT UNLESS YOU ARE AN APPROVED INSTALLER/COMPANY!
We own an Everfocus security DVR. I am not sure why Everfocus is trying to sell their unit to the public as they only provide tech support and assistance to licensed installers. We hate the unit. No support to the consumer. I am actually on Amazon to look for a better product with actual support.The recording quality, software, and controls stink. The owner's manual is an absolute joke and is by far the worst manual I have ever seen. So between the owners manual and the zero phone support....it is a very poor company to buy from.

Lot's of Luck!
Pray, Pray, Pray that you don't need any support. Their reseller network is pretty poor with little tech support, and when you try them, they just tell you it's your problem. Very sad . Consider an alternative if at all possible.
