Very sturdy and durable. The clasp is sometimes a little hard to open, but this is a very minor issue.

This isn't bullet proof, but seems sturdy enough. I needed something to use around the house, so I'm not worried about how rugged it is. That said, this looks like it will hold up well, especially when compared to the offerings available at my local Staples (mostly paper/cardboard with flimsy hinges). By the way, it holds legal documents nicely, too.

Great organizes, pre-printed with categories. I buy these to give to my clients. I've seen these boxes stay in use over long periods of time. They hold up well, and have the extra benefit of having almost no metal, so they don't cause problems at court or the airport security stations. 2016 Aug 29: update. The most recent shipment came with broken clasps. :-( Not sure if it was a product defect or a shipping defect, but the clasps seem to be the weak link in these otherwise excellent organizers. I dropped the rating to a 4 because of the clasp problem. Pendaflex needs to look at the design, especially with the knowledge that these items are shipped around the country, and maybe not packed as well as they should be.

Useful for paperwork for keeping track of taxes. Use item similar to this portfolio every year. Next year will try different brand. This Pendaflex in particular is very hard to open when not completely full.

Well built-simple design that has a folder for all my responsibilities. I move what needs moved from my Globe-Weis Heavy-Duty Expanding File- 12 pocket - monthly organizer into the Pendaflex. I then place the Pendaflex into the bottom drawer of my file cabinet. When the Pendaflex is full, I buy another Pendaflex. It beats dealing with cheap folders, dividers, etc. falling through the cracks and leaving you a mess to organize each and every year. All of my Pendaflex organizers go into my file cabinet and when I need to look at a bill, receipt, 401K statement, warranty, bank statement, etc... I pull the relevant year(s) out and go straight to the subject matter at hand. I used to deal with papers falling out of the cheap hanging folders and then having to organize while searching. No more. It's worth spending a 10/20 bill for quick-simple organization. KISS - Keep It Simple Stupid. Recommend.

We received this product today at my work place. As soon as we opened the box the clasp on the front where the lid snaps into had already fallen off. It is only held on by a small backer piece inside the file section that had come off. It delivered in a good time and the price was cheap which is why I still gave it three stars but the product itself is cheap and rather flimsy. Not sure what kind of binders other reviewers have been using that they thought this one was sturdy and well built but it is not.

I have used these for several years and really like them. I think I ordered one from Amazon last year. When I opened the box with this one in it, the two prongs on the snip in clip were broken and I have been unable to use it. I did not contact Amazon to complain, because it is not my nature to do that. It would have been too much trouble to send it back.

I buy one of these every year to put my bills in. Stickers don't stick well to the outside so I bought a silver permanent pen in which I can write the year on the outside (black part). I also put white stickers over the existing prewritten pockets inside. This allows me to organize it the way that I prefer. It would be nice if it came with nothing prewritten since I imagine most people would prefer to organize it the way they prefer. It's also very sturdy and no concern of the latch nor handle breaking.

En general de bastante buena calidad exceptuando la manija y el broche que parece que eventualmente se van a terminar rompiendo, al principio era difícil abrirla hasta que estuvo parcialmente llena. Por lo demás los materiales de la carcasa y de los compartimentos se sienten bastante resistentes y aparte tiene unas cintas para reforzar a los costados aunado a que es un tanto difícil encontrar carpetas de tamaño oficio es recomendable.
