This book was what I expected and then some and by that I mean it was ABSOLUTELY AMAZINGLY CAPTIVATING! I may be a little biased seeing as how I have always been a big Abbi Glines fan.❤ My favorite of all her books I’ve read has always been the the Existence Trilogy so when finding out she was stepping back into the paranormal romance world for this one I knew I had to sign up to read this and help promote it. I not only got the ARC copy but bought a copy as well.😁 All of that aside if you’ve read any of her books you will know just how talented of an author she truly is. This story and the characters in it are wonderful and the names are unique.[ Catalina Kamlock is anything but ordinary no matter how hard she tries to live a normal life with a family like hers it’s impossible. No matter how much she denies being a Kamlock it’s in her blood. Her powers and charm she tries to hide from everyone feels more like a curse. Avoiding her b!tch mother and wicked sisters she works all the time to save up so she can one day live on her own. When her two friends Heath and Margo get a new roommate Cat does what she always does to men who show interest in her but Rathe he’s proving to be different. Rathe is attractive and he knows it from his smell, to his intense steel blue eyes, and that smirk there is no denying it.🔥When he starts worming his way into her life and seeming to know more then most she can’t seem to keep her attraction for him under wraps much longer. With a stranger appearing and things spiraling out of control Cat is realizing everything is not what it seems and there are things she doesn’t know. And it turns out she isn’t the only one with a secret. ]Once I started reading this story I couldn’t stop. You get hooked in wanting to know more and the next thing you know when some secrets unfold your left at a cliff. Abbi you are a cruel but brilliant woman. 😉 This book has it all: witches and warlocks, friendship, mystery, hot desire/romance, delightful characters and it leaves you wanting more. A must read and hands down the easiest 5 star review I’ve written in a while. 😊

Holy paranormal Batman! Abbi Glines just hit it out of the park with her new release Charmed Souls.Catalina “Cat” Delvaux considers her self anything but charmed. I mean, her last name is Delvaux, and she isn’t welcome to go to the university that bares the same name. Cat comes from a long line of Kamlock witches. A birthright that she would rather not be a part of.But, Cat is different from her mother and sisters who relish their witchy powers. She wants nothing to do with the Kamlock part of her and is grateful to her half human side for keeping her good.Cat does her best to keep as far as she can from her family legacy. Rarely using magic and staying away from men who automatically fall in love with her siren qualities.Cat’s life goes on as normally as it can. She spends as much time away from her family (who seem to dislike her as much as she dislikes them) as she can, preferring to spend time with her best friends.It’s all good until a party at her best friends apartment when she meets Rathe. Even though Cat stays away from relationships, she is inexplicably drawn to Rathe. Who wouldn’t be attracted to him? Oh wait, everyone is and he knows it. He’s beyond good looking and smells delicious, which pushes all of Cat’s buttons.In a totally unusual boy move, Rathe friend zones the extremely beautiful Catarina. That is until he can’t keep her in the friend zone and the two spent a holy hell, best sex ever night together and decide they want to keep each other.Did I mention Rathe is not the only hot boy in Charmed Souls? Well there is! Cat’s best friends are twins. Margo and Heath and yes, Heath is a hottie. But, he’s not just hot. He’s really sweet. Perfect boyfriend material.So let’s see.... witches, hot boys, and did I mention a crazy stalker guy that Cat can’t figure out.The stalker pops up randomly and when you finally find out who it is....plot twist!!Charmed Souls is a complete page turner. Abbi tells a unique paranormal story. If you love paranormal, grab Charmed Souls. You’ll inhale the story and want more!! Abbi never disappoints! Thank you for this novel, I cant wait for the next installment, but i understand that you might need to take some extra time on this one. I would love to see this series on the CW!

Sou fã dos livros da Abbi faz anos (Blair e rush serão sempre meus prediletos) e já fiz duras críticas ao trabalho dela durante esses anos acompanhando suas publicações.O livro charmed souls é a volta da Abbi escrevendo no mundo paranormal. Achei a história muito boa e com grande potencial, porém não tinha necessidade nenhuma em escrever um livro tão curto que termina com o suspense de sempre.Acho estratégias de vendas importantes mas a partir do momento que elas começam a prejudicar a qualidade do seu trabalho deve-se ponderar até que ponto levá-las. Essa é a crítica que eu fazia aos livros da Abbi e ainda faço, livros muito curtos divididos em trilogias que poderiam facilmente ser um livro só. A outra crítica que eu fazia aos livros dela que posso felizmente falar que esse aspecto melhorou é o desenvolvimento dos personagens.Gostei da história desse livro e acho que tem bastante potencial porém gostaria que a personagem principal amadurecesse mais durante os próximos livros pois ela é um pouco ingênua (fato recorrente nas personagens principais dela).O mundo sobrenatural tem bastante coisa legal para ser explorado e espero ansiosamente o segundo livro para poder ver onde a história será levada.

I am not a massive fan of sci-fi or books about anything sci-fi, unless it is a comic book. However, Abbi Glines you have opened my mind. I am quite spiritual person so it helped it was witches and warlocks. Fantastic read. Again twists you do not see coming! Great writing and excellent portrayal of each individual characters. Ends on a Cliffhanger so I hope there is another book from the Black Souls Series to come soon, itching to find out what happens next.

This fantastic first installment in the Black Souls Trilogy has absolutely blown my mind. It was utterly addictive and unputdownable. Abbi Glines put me under her magical spell with this PNR new adult mix of friends to lovers and forbidden romance and I'm now totally invested in this intriguing story and charming characters and can't wait to see what this incredibly talented and versatile author has in tow for them in the future.It's really hard to write a book in this particular genre where you have to do some world building and simultaneously introducing multiple characters and their often complex relationships with each other within only a few pages while keeping the reader's attention. Abbi managed that effortlessly and with great expertise. The story was well-paced, the plot highly entertaining and the characters multi-layered and relatable.Catalina - Cat - Kamlock was born into a family of powerful witches. The females of this bloodline are known for their ethereal beauty and for being ice-cold, calculating gold diggers. They capitalise on their looks in order to seduce and destroy rich and powerful men. Cat never saw any pride in being a Kamlock. All she ever wanted was to be free of her evil, manipulating mother and sisters. She is the complete opposite of them - caring, humble, protective and good-hearted. Although she never experienced any kind of love coming from her family - except from her cousin Duely - Cat is capable of compassion and sympathy.Rathe is still a little bit of a mystery to me. He is Catalina's best friends' new roommate and a handsome womanizer. He crashes into her life and turns it on its axis. Cat promised herself to not open her heart to him but she was powerless against his charm. There is something about him that she can't explain but that however speaks to a darker side of her being. And let me tell you guys when these two collide there a sparks flying everywhere. Their instant sizzling chemistry is palpable and will set your reading devices on fire!This book ends on a huge cliffhanger. I had to pick up my jaw from the floor while processing all the information Abbi threw at us. There are still some mysteries left to solve and truths to be uncovered and I'm so ready for them! I applaud this author for delivering a truly outstanding book and give this new top favorite of mine 5+ stars!
