Now this... is a man step.
These things are bigger than I expected! I ordered these after seeing some on a buddy of mines work truck that has a utility bed. He installs some to access the bed from the side of his truck. He didn’t order his off Amazon and are fairly smaller than these that I ordered. Package came with 4 and none were damaged. They are heavy and well built. Plan on installing them on the side of my flat bed in my truck and in the rear of the bed.

Odd bolt holes
Steps seem sturdy and hold up well so far. I mounted them on my utility body for reaching over for pipe and tools. I could not find good bolts that fit in those holes hut had some stainless ones that worked without interfering. They are about 5/16 or m8 sized bolts if you want to try something with a conical head to fit right. Would be nice if it had a notch for either square or hex heads and came with the bolts but these work for the price.

Compact with good step surface.Stainless steel seems sufficient but I believe the spring will rust.Keep it oiled with a clear light weight oil

Knotch out the wall a bit behind spring or won’t work
When installing a small knotch has to be taken out on the wall directly behind spring or the step won’t open and close .The spring bulges out a bit

Heavy Duty/meets expectations
I was looking for simple inexpensive step to mount on my car hauler trailer without having to reinvent the wheel! I mounted the Red Hound fold down step to a 2" x 3.5" aluminum stake pocket tie down.Nice and simple, heavy duty and durable.Jim

Just ordered (4) to make a step out on a 5 foot stone wall. Works great. Can’t believe the SS quality for the price. Am ordering (2) more just because there so nice I will have to find a use for them.
