Rhode Island Novelty Kids Plastic Trumpets (1 Dz)

We got these to play on New Year's Eve! They were great! Lots of fun, played well, good price, arrived on time, none broken. This will become a New Year's tradition! Blow the trumpet to welcome the New Year!

I purchased these to be used as props for a high school production of The Music Man, where we had little kids that needed an 'instrument' for the final marching band scene. For the price, these worked well. They come in two pieces and have a noise maker in them that reminds me of something you would use at New Years Eve. We didn't want the kids to actually make noise, so I used a small screwdriver and disabled the noise maker inside (very simple). I also needed them to look a bit more like a real instrument, so I spray painted them with Rust-Oleum Specialty Metallic gold paint. This worked well and covered beautifully in 2 coats. Finally, to insure they did not come apart, I used Gorilla gel glue to attach the bell to the horn, and during countless rehearsals and 4 shows they never came apart.They are smaller than an actual trumpet, but since I was dealing with 5-8 year olds this was not a problem. From the audience, they looked great and I am glad we were able to find an inexpensive solution.

I bought these as 'props' for when we played "76 Trombones Led the Big Parade" at my Mom's memorial. It was one of her favorite songs from the musical "The Music Man". Everybody grabbed a trumpet and marched around the room, laughing and blowing the horns. My 3 year old granddaughter led the parade and every else joined in behind. It was great.They make a good 'tweeting' sound and easy for even a small child to create a satisfactorily loud noise. They are light and attractive and the price was just right. They aren't made for long term use but for a party favor they were perfect.

Trumpet are only for show..I need the trumpet for cheering a team but It was embarrassing because they DO NOT make any noise.

I bought these as a prop for a play. I spray painted them gold and they looked fantastic. They are definitely cheap plastic but look at the price, that's what I paid for lol.

The sound that comes out of these is possibly one of the most annoying things you've ever heard. It is a typical noise maker. I thought it would be more like a kazoo or even a recorder. It is like a cheap noise maker. The plastic is low quality and probably full of BPA and other hormone inhibiting chemicals. Also, too many pink ones. Save the landfill. Oh and no free returns. Fail here Amazon.

The trumpets were purchased as props for an elementary school musical. The box was arrived busted on one side and two of the trumpet bells were detached from the instruments; however, they were easily glued back together. We spray painted them metallic silver to look more like real trumpets and they looked nice from the stage. For props, they worked very well. If used as a toy, please note the sound the instrument makes is NOTHING like a trumpet (just a single-pitch "honk" sound) and it requires a good deal of air-pressure to make the sound. Also, a couple of the mouthpiece holes on the trumpets had rough plastic seams that some younger children may find uncomfortable when blowing air into the trumpet. ....but for our prop purposes, the trumpets served us well.

Bought these to use for VBS. Couldn’t beat the price. I spray painted them gold for our program. Worked as expected.
