A bit sloppy for the price.
These fit me well and I can’t speak for the warmth yet as I haven’t tested them in the cold yet. They appear to be nice and when the finger caps are on, it is a comfortable glove. However, for the price, I was amazed how sloppy the finger openings were. They required some cleaning up and slight enlarging as it appears to cut open hastily with a box cutter. The index finger on one of them was barely cut open at all. Finger openings are still a bit tight, post cleanup, and doesn’t look like how an $80 glove should be.*Photos are after cleaning up the finger hole mess.

Poor quality and Vellerret is unwilling to accept responsibility for incorrect sizing.
I bought these gloves per their sizing chart, which was incorrect. Tried to switch sizes and Vallerret wants me to be responsible for return shipping IN ADDITION to the shipping I already paid to get them. The seller Issued a refund, meaning that if I turned around and buy the correct size, I would have to pay shipping a 3rd time. Terrible experience, low quality glove for the high pricetag. Look elsewhere. These aren't anything I couldn't buy anywhere else for a fraction of the price, then cut fingerholes into them (which is essentially what Vallerret has done). Again, poor quality.

Convenient for camera work but not that warm.
Order a size larger than you might expect to need. I used these in the Arctic for doing photography of the Northern Lights and, while, the open fingers are convenient for camera work, overall, the gloves are not that warm even at temperatures in the +20s F. Indeed, I found my old motorcycle gloves to be considerably warmer while, of course, lacking the convenience of the open fingers. So, a mixed review.

Good Quality but Won't Protect In Sub-Freezing Temperatures
This glove is made to protect your hands in cold but not freezing (ie not below 32 Degrees F) temperatures. I have attached a photo of the Vallerret glove next to a glove that I find comfortable down to about 20 degrees F. (The Valleret glove is on top). As you can see it has much less insulation and is much thinner than the other glove. For reference, both gloves are XL size. The Vallerret glove is well made. I did not have sloppily cut openings as I saw in other ratings. It is what I expected and I will use it even in the colder temperatures by wearing my thicker gloves while not using my camera and then changing (maybe only one glove) to the Vallerrets since they are definitely better than an un-gloved hand.

Not as great as advertised!
Glad I had a discount coupon for these expensive gloves. They did not prove to be as good as I expected. The opening to expose your finger tips is too small and the gloves were not as warm as others I had. I ended up using chemical hand warmers in other gloves that I cut finger tip slits in myself. Hoped to use these in Antarctica but they weren't warm enough.

Great gloves!
As a photographer in northern Michigan, I have always needed a good pair of Photography gloves for our frigid winters. I bought these at the tail end of winter in the transition to spring, so I don't yet have deep winter experience to include, but so far they've impressed me. The material seems very durable and they are warm enough. The top pockets looks just big enough to stick a hand warmer in, but haven't needed to try that yet.

Great gloves, Merino Wool FTW
These work great for all sorts of winter action. As mentioned, they fit slim so they work great for early morning driving and etc. without using the flip finger at all. For winter shot days, the flip fingers come in really handy (I've been using the full mitten to half glove style for years).I got the grey, and really dig the way they look. The pattern is hard to see in the amazon pics, but looks really sharp.

Warm, perfect for photographers!
The Vallerret Markhof Pro 2.0 photography gloves met my expectations with their warm and ability to expose thumb and index finger for manipulating my camera.Sizing wise, according to their size guide, I was on the lower end of the Large size. I had hopes that I could, if needed, use the liners from my Vallerret mittens, as an additional layer should that be necessary. However, these gloves are actual very slightly smaller than the sizing guide! As such, if you measure your hand and are in a particular range (ex. I was in the Large range) and you want the extra room needed for the Vallerret liners, you will want to go up one size.

Poor size chart - order a size larger. Quality is “ok”.
Quality is just “ok”. The price is in the design aspect of being able to reveal your fingertips. The sizing chart is terrible. Order 1 size up from the recommended size. They may meant to be “snug” but if you go by the sizing chart you will find the gap between your index finger and thumb will be too tight and you won’t be able to open your palm all the way. Also worth considering leaving that extra little bit of space for an inner liner because the slit in the fingers doesn’t seal very well when closed, allowing cold air to seep through.I am going through the returns process to get a size larger, but it’s a hassle as I need these gloves in 3 weeks which doesn’t allow much wiggle room for problems to occur. If there were alternative options that would give me access to my camera controls, I would consider them greatly over these gloves.Unfortunately these are the best in this very niche market.

Excellent quality and should be for the price.
I bought these gloves for my wife for Christmas who is an amateur photographer, but suffers from cold hands. She was very pleased with them as they are warm whilst still able to fiddle with the camera settings.Me. … well I don't have the same problem as I keep my hands in my pockets when its cold, its cheaper.

Living up to expectations
So far so good, the withers not been too harsh yet, these are designed for photographers and currently work extremely well in providing enough control of the camera whilst keeping your hands warm.

Best gloves I have owned by far
These gloves have been perfect for keeping my hands warm whilst taking photos in the cold weather. They are a brilliant design and very stylish (People have commented on them when I am wearing them). The flip over finger and thumb tips make using my camera a doddle without my hands freezing. I would really recommend them. Also the gloves grip is exceptional. Not only so I can hold my camera securely, but also for holding my keys, phone and other items you may not want to drop in the snow or puddles. If you haven't already got a pair, you should.

Excellent product for photographers.
Extremely well made product and the flip over finger ends do exactly what they say on the tin and are excellent for photographers who need to operate in cold weather. Beware the sizing seems to be rather small !

Good quality but not as warm as expected
These were a good buy overall. Having the removable finger and thumb-tips for camera operation is very useful. I didn't find them quite as warm as I had been expecting!

Great but expensive gloves
Despite the high cost, these gloves are extremely warm & the fingers seal well around the access hole. Hope they last!

Keine Empfehlung!

Size comes up slightly small
Great product but recommend a size bigger than you think you might need. Great service from seller in dealing with the exchange.

Absolute 1 A Qalität und Verarbeitung.

Markhof Pro Model 2.0 - Vallerret Fotografen Handschuh.

Warm gloves for photographers
I was a bit skeptic about if they would be warm enough. I'm very pleased to have used them on our trip to Iceland during winter. Got my hands warmed and very easy to use the camera. Good grip.
