Great for scuba / technical diving
I initially gave these bolt snaps a 3-star review, however after much usage and comparing to other gear, I have to increase the rating. They do their job!8-months of technical diving (60+ dives) in the ocean and no rust or issues. The bolt snaps aren't as "tight" (lower spring pressure) as a few high dollar units, but certainly fine at holding an SPG or long-hose to a D-ring and so on. I may not use it to hold equipment that doesn't have a second attachment point (e.g. a light), but I definitely have extremely high standards due to the nature of diving I do and lack of room for error.The stem is also a little wobbly and although on the bench that seemed like a problem initially, in reality it was not.I would definitely recommend these bolt snaps and can confirm they are marine grade!

Not for Scuba? Why not?
These are a great size for scuba, I have 16 of them attached all manner of things. The spring pressure isn't especially strong, but does it really matter? They hold well, they haven't corroded yet, and for the price, 16 doesn't break the bank. I dive in tropical waters without gloves (sometimes lobster gloves), and I've not had any issues.

Finicky spring
This review was done before taking it into the water.First half of pull on the spring is super weak making me worry if I rub up on it wrong it will come open on its own and I'll lose whatever attached item I have.Second half of pull is sometimes smooth and sometimes won't budge.

1 out of 4 had a defect
The bolt snaps appear to be decent except for one of the bolt snaps had a small extrusion on the end. It is sharp and definitely an issue. I have many bolt snaps and this is the first time I have come across this issue. It was by far the lowest price I could find and shipped/arrived very quickly. (I would like to replace this one if possible.)
