I got tired of the expensive blades for disposables and fast and easy was good for me at the time. I had 3 different shavers over the years. The last one, I have had about 6 years. They changed the blades on them 2 or 3 years ago. I dint ind the change but it always felt like I could feel the blades scraping my skin each time. It also did not get very close of a shave. I had been thinking of changing to wet shaving for a long period of time. Well its time for a new cartridge ~100.00, so nows the time to switch.I made the switch using a mail order service. After 4 shaves I hated it. The products were ok and were very citrus and refreshing but I did not like the razor itself and it was just not “there” So I ordered the Godfather blade by Viking. This thing is AMAZING! I love the weight to it, I feel like I’m holding something substantial and feel more confident its not going to slide out of my hands and slice my throat open. I also switched to Feather Blades. I figured if I want close and precise might as well go all in. I must confess, when I put on the feather blade, I had prepped towels for the presumes carnage, but there was none. The blades and this viking blade system, just floated over my skin and I could barely feel it doing anything, but it was! So I have very happy with the blades and the razor.The Shaveology products are very nice. I LOVE the scent. Its very guy scented, almost cologne smelling and it just has such a great clean feeling without smelling too young and too old. (so hard to explain) but its great. The pre-shave oil is nice and thick and puts on a good layer. Letting it soak on for about 2-3 minutes while you prep the shave cream and your brush makes it better. The shave cream was weird for me as its a more dry cream and the last one I used was a little more wet. I did not use my bowl and instead put a little bit on the brush directly and applied it. It took about 15 seconds but started turning into such a creamy almost yogurt like consistency. It felt really nice!!! Shaving was very pleasant, as I mentioned above, its just super smooth and feels nice. The post shave balm is where its at though. I can’t say enough about this. The smell, the feel, and the feel on my face afterwards. I am still a noob at wet shaving this way so irritation is still present as I am getting the technique down pat. This soothes the face very well and leaves you refreshed.Overall I love all of these products and would recommend any of them to anyone.

I'm not the guy who writes reviews; time is too precious. But occasionally, I stumble across a product(s) I can't help but rant and rave about. Boy did I hit the jackpot with Shaveology!Before serendipitously stumbling on Shaveology, shaving was a chore I'd skip more often than not—every chance I could get away with in fact. Now shaving is my weekly self-indulgent ritual I never miss. Shaveology's butterfly razor is an exquisite instrument that gives a baby-smooth shave once you learn how to wield it. It is truly a gentleman's tool. And then there are Shaveology's luxurious line of shaving products of which I've tried their pre-shave oil, shave lather, and aftershave balm. I can't give these products high enough praise. Shaveology uses the highest quality ingredients in their shaving products, leaving my skin feeling incredible and me smelling delicious! After a Shaveology shave, I feel like a prince.

I have tried a few different pre shave oils. My personal favorite has always been The Art of SHaving. However, its quite expensive and bit sticky. I decided to give this a try, and have been very happy thus far. Its not too sticky, smells fantastic (citrusy), and really helps fight razor burn. And the price is good.My only complaint is the bottle doesn't seal well. I tossed in my travel bag for work, and both times, it leaked all over. Luckily, both times it was contained largely to a ziplock, but it made a mess and I lost a lot of product. First time I chocked it up to me not closing it well, the second time though, I was very sure to seal it up, but same result. So be careful with this one if you travel a lot.

I'm 59 and got skin rash problems around my mouth and chin when I shaved every day so had to figure out why my skin was getting beaten so bad by either manual or automatic razors. It was kind of embarrassing to walk around with a rash on my face for 2-3 hours each day after shaving. At this point I read blogs and read about this product and on a whim tried it. IT ABSOLUTELY WORKED..... AND....gives me such a finer clean shave. I figured I owed these people a review....sooooo..... here it is. This stuff is way way worth the money because if your young, you don't need enhanced skin care, but if you are more mature and want whats best for your skin and can realize whats best for your health, you will buy this stuff. IT WORKS GREAT ....period

So this is a little thicker than some pre-shave oils I have used in the past but I am very happy with the product. It has almost no smell which is quickly gone anyways either to the shaving soap, aftershave, or moisturizer. I highly recommend a pre-shave oil as it really does keep the irritation down. Soap is important too and I have a whole bunch of those I love. I find this key place to use is on my neck right under my chin as that is my biggest area of irritation when shaving. Another big thing is to go WITH the grain (just push your stubble and find the path of least resistance and shave that way) In my case I shave up on my neck area and down on the rest of my face as it does change. That makes a night and day difference and with a safety razor you just shave 2-3 times reapplying oil and soap/cream each time.

I'm actually quite upset because I can no longer find this product on Amazon anymore and to me it is really the best pre shave ointment you can use. The oil soaks in to the pours of the skin and really does give you a super smooth shave. You won't feel any rashes, no ingrown hairs or roughness. Just a really clean and silky smooth shave. Top 5 star product! Only thing I would recommend is a different lid system because I travel a lot and once or twice the lid has opened pouring out oil all over my other products. So if the packaging can be fixed I would be giving 6 stars out of 5! I can't imagine shaving without this.

Profumazione ottimale, equilibrata e piacevole, senza essere troppo persistente. Buon value-for-money, avendolo pagato proporzionalmente molto meno di altri prodotti analoghi. 4 stelle e non 5 perchè il dosaggio (tramite pressione sul tappo) è molto meno efficiente di un sistema a spruzzo/spray.

The oil does help soften the beard a little bit, but that will be true with a drop of olive or coconut oil as well. Nothing miraculous will happen to make your shaving easier if yo use this one. If you have an oil based moisturiser or coconut or olive oil, use it instead of spending money to find miracles in this product.
