I had been interested in getting one of these for a pet, but was unsure what it really took to responsibly care for one & how much it could cost. After reading this book, I will not be getting one, but for good reasons I would not have known without this book. It was incredibly straightforward and clear on how much it would cost, what environmental factors were needed, how they did better in pairs, and issues with other pets. For someone who could provide what he outlined, it was also clear what great pets they can be. I'm donating my copy to our local library, so other people can learn from it. I highly recommend this book!

The information in this book is easy to understand, and all the basics are covered. We keep this book by our dragon's enclosure as our answer book. The cover is beautiful. The pages are the proper weight and quality. However, the photos inside the book remind me of color photos that are put on a copy machine and printed in black and white. It's a disappointing part of an otherwise great little book.

We bought this as a Christmas Gift for our son. He is looking into getting one of these. Very informative, more so than other books on the market. Would definitely recommend for someone looking to purchase and learn more about these reptiles and how to care for them.

Really information on taught me a lot about my Chinese water dragon

I was thinking about getting a Chinese Water Dragon but really didn't know where to start. I'm glad I found this book - it is straightforward and had all the information I needed to make an informed decision about getting these gorgeous and friendly animals. The book was very simple to read and understand, and I can't think of anything that it didn't cover. Mr. Smith is obviously very well-versed in these gorgeous little guys and I think it'll be easy to take care of my own with this as a guide.

Book was very interesting but decided after reading not for me needs a good size cage just don't have the room
