Water break in for best performance
This motor has a little more speed then the stock kit motor, I use it in the TT02 RC Model. Great results.

Great upgrade over the stock motor
The media could not be loaded. I used this motor to replace the stock silver can in my Wild One Buggy. It had a noticable increase in speed and torque. I did a before and after comparison. Running on a 3S lipo it did 28 mph stock and 32 mph with the Sport Tuned. When it has traction it is a wheelie machine. I'm not sure if it is rated to run on 3S, so I don't recommend it, and do so at your own risk. I only ran 3S for testing and will run 2S from now on. Highly recommend the Sport Tuned motor as an inexpensive performance upgrade over the stock silver can that comes with a lot of Tamiya kits.

A classic and great upgrade to any stock 540 motor
Classic motor upgrade for your 1/10 RC car. I used this to replace the stock motor on my vintage Tamiya Frog and it works great. I think they cost less now than when I looked at them in the 80's!! Or maybe I just have more money now and it only seems that way! Either way, it's a great value to get better performance out of your car.

Beware of short output shafts
I ordered two of these (should have ordered one to start) to replace some old brushed motors I didn't feel like maintaining. These have great torque and speed and can be tossed when the (non-user replaceable) brushes wear out, but the output shafts are too short to use with anything other than a Tamiya vehicle. I'm sure the shafts are long enough to fit into the smaller Tamiya gearbox, but I wish I'd noticed beforehand. So if buying for something other than Tamiya, make sure you can use your existing pinion gears with these.

Wow, great value
Restored an 80s Frog with sports tuned motor. Great price and speed is insane. Don't need any more. Switched pinion up to 19T and spur gear to 49. Added sealed greased bearings to the gear box and wheels which is essential to tap the full potential of the motor. Battery I bought was a 5000mah NIMH. 25 minutes of straight bashing and acceleration. Love this motor, the Frog is so much more fun now

Great for a cc01!
Awesome upgrade over the stock silver can! I bought this because I killed the silver can I had in my cc01 unimog. This motor IS about 30% faster and at least that in low end grunt. Still good control at low speed for mild crawling. Great low-end power, fantastic top end (at least for a cc01). Battery life seems to be about the same as the stock motor, which is counter-intuitive. I run my cc01 basically all stock with a locked rear end, and a hobbywing 1060 esc, open front diff. What a difference. Gonna try a torque tuned next for fun. Ran 5 3800 nimh packs so far. Love it love it love it.

No more
I had just put the motor in the truck I bought it for and it ran exactly one time, tried it again and nothing. Took it out and was checking it and it’s grinding inside the motor.
