love them
I've been using this brand since 2012 for push ups and a 5 ft length lasts 10k+ reps before eventually tearing. I like to use the silver and gold in different combinations to change the resistance. Two gold bands combined doing high rep push ups regularly is enough training to maintain 225+ lb on a bench press. Just use parallel bars with wrist wraps to save the wrists since this is enough tension to injure them. I got tired of lugging around a full dumbbell set everytime I moved so sold them and have been using these for all arms exercises for 6 months now. They work great for curls, lateral/front raises, pulls aparts, pull backs, tricep extensions etc. I just wear gloves since they can be rough on your hands. These keep my shoulders jacked and weigh a few ounces for the 5 foot lengths I use so can't go wrong. They can fit in your pocket.

Sturdy, can be used in variety of ways for multiple muscle groups.
No dislikes. This is a lightweight product for using in the home or packing to exercise while traveling. Can use in various ways to work different muscle groups, can vary resistance by holding it at different points.

Therabands do the Job for me
I started using bands during therapy for rotorcuff surgery about 10 years ago. I believe the brand being using in the therapy center was theraband. The therapy center gave me a band to take home to continue rehab after I had met therapy goals and have been using them off and on since. I started with the lower band strengths and worked my way up to black and recently have started to incorporate silver in my workout routines. I know I have purchased at least 2 boxes of the black and one of the silver. A box contains an 18 foot length of band. For my purposes I cut them into 3 6-foot lengths. I use the bands for upper body strength training (arms, shoulders, back). I am not looking for bulk but rather for maintaining strength and flexibility with an emphasis on flexibility. I have used weights and high-faluting machines in the past but find the band exercises suit my purposes just fine. (I am in my seventies and just trying to hang on to what I've got!) The one and only reason I gave a 4 star rating rather than a 5 star is: Bands break!!! And when they break you must always be prepared for that event. This is NOT a defect in the Theraband brand it is one of the risks in using bands. Probably a good idea to check your bands for wear and tear and replace them before they break. With that in mind I use them until they break. Keeps you 'on your toes' when working out!!!

[Update: consistently 5 months between tears] Is holding up longer than other bands I have used
Update 2: Another 5 months before my next length of band tore with the same usage as in Update 1. And I was very careful putting it on each time. So for my usage level a band lasts 5 months. Update 1: My first length of the band has just now torn after 5 months of use every other day (3 x 80 monster-walk steps with band around the ankles and 3 x 60 clamshells with band around the knees). I can't say for sure whether the tear was initiated by accidentally getting overstretched while slipping it over my rubber-soled shoes or not. In the past, I've noticed that that can be the cause of tears, and I have tried to be careful about that but occasionally I got at least a little stretching against a shoe while putting it on. I have now cut another length of band to replace the first and, if I think of it, will post an update on how long this length lasts. I took the advice of other reviewers and purchased the next heavier band up from what I was using from other brands and its width (4") is wider than my other bands as well. So far I have only cut one length and have used for over 6 weeks with no signs of holes or tears. Usually by now other bands would have torn apart and I would need to tie together again and/or cut another one. I also agree that the heaviness that I bought seems right. I bought the light gray band.

It works if you use it
I'm really making use of this. I'm too old and broken to use weights anymore. I've gotten a lot of muscle definition back with this.

Safer Alternative
I have been dealing with a very stiff and sore shoulder due to tendinitis , tendinosis and a little bursitis. The cortisone shot greatly reduced the inflammation allowing me to focus on strengthening the shoulder . My experience has been that the bands were more beneficial than weights in restoring the strength and range of motion in my shoulder . I think using weights initially may have aggravated my condition . The bands are a safer alternative. I particularly liked the difference in tension among the bands that allows for progression . I am now able to use weights for further strengthening but I continue to use the bands particularly for continued improvement in my range of motion .

Strength in elasticity
I like this band as we can adjust the strength and the length of the bands. After time it wears down to an easier strength. When that happens we use it for a different muscle group. Keep the original band long to adjust it for a different muscle group when it wear down. LIKE: 1. Back, 2. Sides 3. Legs 4. Arms. First use knots to have a shorter band, then release the knots for a greater range of motion.
