SA200SK Strip-All Cable & Wire Stripper with Wire Stripper, Utility Knife & A-201 Adapter

Have used these cable strippers for years, the adapter on my old set broke. I can't seem to find a replacement anywhere, so I ordered a new pair. Best cable stripper on the market, by far. I use mine for everything from small 2 conductor cables to large multi-conductors. Blade is adjustable for different cable jacket thickness. Excellent product! A Technician/electrician's must have tool!

I will make this short. It works and works very well when set at the correct depth which is easy to do. Once set, the insulation just peels off the wire and never takes a chunk out of the wire or cuts a strand. I wished I had one of these a long time ago. I would have saved a lot of headache removing wire insulation. If you don't have one of these, get one.

I would rate myself as a woman with slightly more upper body strength than average. That being said, I could not get this item to work, whatsoever. My husband was able to, but watching him it was evident that this is NOT an easy tool to use. I have several boxes of wire to strip and I've found that a utility knife does the trick much easier. Knowing what I know now, I would not waste the money.

I have used this model for years. When properly adjusted it will slice the jacket of NM 2 conductor just enough to remove it without nicking the conductor covering. I have also used it on 3 conductor NM with no trouble. Again it must be properly adjusted. The blade on old one I am replacing was just little dual so I decided to replace it. On a whim I tried another fixed blade model that had high ratings, but I like the easily adjustable blade on this model much better.

I was rather disappointed. It was very difficult to use this on the thin wires which I purchased the stripper for. Really large wires, especially long ones I use a mounted stripper or a simple utility knife. Smaller gauged wires are very difficult to use such tools on. Stripping these is manually intensive and I hoped that I would be able to use this stripper for those wires. I was not. Worse the plastic guide broke 3 days after I started using it. I am going to attempt to build my own guide as a replacement and might have better success. I give the Seatek 3 stars for an innovative design that has promise. It is however not worked well for me.

Works but gets jammed sometimes and blades break fairly easily. But for the price, can't complain

I used an exacto knife before I bought this wonderful tool. I needed to split the jacket on several hundred cable assemblies for work and this thing did the job incredibly. It cuts through 72 inches of multi-conductor cable jacket with one sweep. I must have done 150 cables to-date and the blade is finally showing signs of wear. Just dial-in the jacket thickness and run it along the cable. The blade is adjustable and replaceable, with one extra in the handle. Made in the USA!!!!
