I bought 1 set for my daughter and 1 for myself...have not had the opportunity to use them yet, but I did test them by putting the batteries in them. They seem to work great...they are very bright on all 3 settings and I really like the magnetic base that makes it so easy to fasten them. I am going to keep them inside my car instead of the trunk, so that If I should ever need them I won't have to get out of my car in case it's dark or dangerous to do ...and unless I'm going on a road trip, which I do quite often, I will keep the batteries with extras in a plastic bag to prolong the life of the flares and batteries. They came very well packaged and I like the little plastic case to keep them from getting lost under the seat. As I mentioned prior to this, my items were shipped in record time for no charge...I ordered them on the 10th of March and received them on the 13th of March which allowed me to take them with me on the 16th to give to my daughter who lives in another state. I'm planning a coast to coast trip shortly and I feel more confident knowing I have these to rely on if a situation would occur. Thank you for the great service. :)

The Good = I was able to try them out after buying batteries, they are bright, the case keeps them safe, bottom heavy making them stable, and the magnetic base is strong. Delivery was extremely fast.The Bad = For the price I would expect some freaking batteries. If you buy this make sure you have some AAA batteries handy. Even the $2 flashlights next to the counter at the place I bought the batteries from came with a battery included. In fact I just dropped the stars from 3 to 2 just because that makes me mad (and it takes a lot to do that). The reflective tape on them overlaps making it more prone to coming loose. Thinking back to that $2 flashlight at the store I think these would be best priced at $20 rather than $35.UPDATED---The company was kind enough to respond to my review and has made it right. I still feel batteries should be included but their quick response was great. Thank you. I adjusted the rating accordingly.

Received these and even though I saw other reviews telling how bright these were I was still pleasantly surprised. They are almost blindingly bright when you are viewing them up close, which is perfect so you can easily be seen.I read a few other reviews that talked about battery issues that made no sense to me. Some mentioned the product not coming with batteries and they were surprised. Why would you be surprised as about half of battery operated items don't come with them and the ones that do are usually cheap "throw away" batteries. Do you really want those kinds for an emergency items? Others were complaining about the batteries corroding after not being used for while. Well duh, that is going to happen in almost any battery operated device and is why most instructions say "remove batteries if not used for a prolonged amount of time". The case the flares come with have plenty of room for the required batteries. They take all of about 15 seconds to install and do not require any tools.I just bought two more sets for the other cars and highly recommend these.

OK-- they look good. I haven't tested them yet. The link to the setup video that Barrantyne provided does not work, but setting these up is not rocket science.The big gripe is this-- the box is looong and heavy. It has two daainty plastic latches to keep it closed. One latch has already decided to stay open.No, I don't want these flares spilling out on a cold, dark rainy night when I take them out of the car and seconds countWhy didn't Barrantyne give us a sturdy latching system with a HANDLE? In an emergency, this box may well become a two handed carry job when seconds, time and safety matter.Barrantyne should have thought of all of this before this product went to market.I am jerry-rigging something that will be durable and permanent.

These things are awesome... bright, easy and idiot proof is an understatement. The flashlight is over-the-top, but useful. They work, and they work well. I'm a CERT member and these exceed any parameters I had for standard flares. HINT: If you pull the tabs and don't replace them, you'll end up w/ dead batteries. The case has room for 3 at the bottom, and 3 at the top. Keep 'em fresh. VERY happy I bought these... Time will tell.UPDATE: I bought these awhile back, and I pull them out every month or so to check them and the batteries. PRIMO... with these and my  Mutual Industries 17712-4-18 Collapsible Reflective Traffic Cone with Inside Light, 18" x 10" x 10", Lime (Pack 0F 4)  I have no fear of not being seen in an accident or emergency situation. Heck, with my  Xprite Amber 240 LED Law Enforcement Emergency Hazard Warning LED Mini Bar Strobe Light with Magnetic Base , I'm practically visible from outer space.... I do emergency response w/ my local CERT. I NEED to be seen....

I ordered two sets of these LED "flares" to have for an upcoming road trip. The flares arrived in a timely manner with each set of two in sturdy plastic cases with batteries installed in each flare (a little piece of plastic between the battepries and the contacts on the flares needs to be removed prior to using them).After receiving the flares on a Saturday, I discovered that one of the flares had a faulty switch and only illuminated in the "flashlight" mode. I left a message for the company (Barrantyne) on the "Leave Seller Feedback" link on Amazon informing them of this and I received a reply back from the company within a couple hours.Larry D at Barrantyne apologized for the faulty flare and sent me an entire new set of flares the same day (Saturday). Additionally, he told me that I did not need to return the other set of flares and that I could keep the functioning flare as a spare.

Great piece of kit that all drivers should have in the boot. I ordered 2 lots (4 in total) These are bright during the day so should be excellent at night or in dull conditions. As I leave them in the boot all year I've taken the batteries out of the flare, so the batteries don't corrode the elements, and place the batteries in the storage box that the flares are supplied with. They have atachable base that fold for storage in the supplied flare storage box and the flare just sits in the base and held in by a strong magnet. You can attach the magnatized flares to any metal surface , I.e side of car/truck etc,

Tiene un precio muy razonable, la calidad también lo es, dan mucha luz y desde luego los imanes son muy fuertes, la foto del coche en la descripción del artículo con estas luces "pegadas" magnéticamente a sus laterales traseros es bastante realista: luz roja intensa que seguro que se ve desde varios cientos de metros e imanes suficientemente fuertes. Además pueden servir como linterna (esta luz es blanca y bastante floja). La caja está bien. Si tienes que parar en un arcén y te quedas sin batería del coche o no quieres que se descargue, te puede salvar la vida y la de tus acompañantes. Lo volvería a comprar y lo recomendaría a un amigo.

I would have liked something taller, but they work well. I haven't had to use them on the road yet. I would recommend to carry in the car as they take up little space and the carry box is convenient.

Bought these based on a video review on YouTube from 'The Urban Prepper', that video goes way more in depth than I can on here but having tried them out I am very happy and am sure these will help in a breakdown

Really bright fit in my glove box, have used when needed a torch , but not in emergency. The way they can be attached to the car is excellent
